Continuing your historic tour of the area, you'll find Fountains Abbey, Grantley Hall, and Newby Hall & Gardens all within 5 miles, making them ideal stops for history enthusiasts. Further from the property is the Nidderdale National Landscape. This remarkably beautiful area offers excellent walking spots, including the 38-mile route, the Six Dales Trail (starts 12 miles away), which takes in some of Yorkshire's finest scenery and is perfect for birdwatching and mountain biking too. Harrogate and Knaresborough are both within 12 miles of each other and offer a range of eateries and activities.
