Escape to one of the most beautiful parts of the Italian Alps and the resort of Cesana Torinese, in the Susa Valley. This ground-floor apartment for 4, in a striking Art Nouveau residence, is full of character and charm. It is a comfortable base for friends or a small family who want to enjoy the stunning mountain scenery.

The main living space has a double-height ceiling and is full of light. The décor is stylish and contemporary with lots of bare wood. The seating area includes an attractive sofa, two armchairs and a flat-screen TV. The kitchen/dining area is party separated by a breakfast bar, which is useful for quick snacks. The dining table for 4 is next to the sleek fitted kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, a coffee machine and fridge/freezer.

Sleeping
The bedroom is on the mezzanine above the sitting room. There are two king-size double beds and a chest of drawers. There is further storage downstairs.

The charmingly tiled bathroom has a shower, basin and WC.

Location
Cesana Torinese is part of the Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski network, a ski resort that offers slopes to suit all levels of skiers.The apartment is in the heart of this quiet resort and ideally positioned for easy access to the slopes. Guests will find a range of restaurants and cafés in the town, as well as a small supermarket for groceries.

Sestriere (20 minutes), which hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics, has a lot to offer throughout the year. In the winter months, there is cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, ice skating, motor sledging, dog sledging and snowshoeing. There is even an outdoor heated swimming pool which is open in the winter and summer seasons.

Summer visitors can go hiking through the forests and alpine meadows. There are numerous tracks for mountain biking at all levels, as well as tennis, golf and swimming. The area also hosts many festivals and events for all ages, including environmental initiatives and cultural evenings.

Turin airport is a 1-hour and 30-minute drive from the apartment.
