GrandTourSuiteHome, Spoleto, romantic comfort apartment in historic center
Once you've parked comfortably and stress-free (preferably at the nearby SpoletoSfera covered parking lot for €5.00 per day), reach GrandTourSuiteHome, at Via Campo dei Fiori 32, in less than 5 minutes via Porta Monterone or Piazza Carducci. If you don't want to venture further afield, you can forget about your car and explore Spoleto's historic center on foot, thanks to the free use of dozens of elevators, moving walkways, and escalators. Inside: the apartment is particularly enhanced by the large 16th-century fireplace and the dream-come-true combination of a large whirlpool tub next to the double bed with a pure latex mattress.
Guests have described the apartment as extremely comfortable and well-equipped. A unique fusion atmosphere is created by the harmonious blend of styles and spaces, combining a variety of antique and ultra-modern elements, expertly arranged in the two main spaces: the spacious living room with its high ceiling and the intimate bedroom with a mini-spa. The modest dimensions, even in height, respect the original sixteenth-century spaces, are perfectly air-conditioned, with modern appliances if necessary. A smart satellite TV, DVD player, and stereo system with a high-quality vinyl record player complete the home's amenities.
We're confident you'll find our city, effectively a former capital, extraordinary. We recommend staying as long as possible to fully appreciate it and relax, perfectly in keeping with the romantic, safe, and, we believe, unforgettable stay you'll enjoy in the GrandTourSuite, in the historic Monterone district.
Filtered water and a carbonator are available in the fully equipped kitchen, where you'll find, above the dishwasher, an espresso machine and a kettle for tea, barley, herbal teas, and freeze-dried coffee, as well as a microwave. I recommend a hearty breakfast at the Canasta Bar and Restaurant in Piazza della Libertà, with its windows that open onto the Roman Theater, similar to those in the square itself. Between Corso Mazzini, Piazza del Mercato, and beyond, there are numerous restaurants, trattorias (some with wood-fired pizza ovens), as well as various fast food outlets and traditional eateries.
Don't miss a visit to the Rocca Albornoziana and the Ponte delle Torri, the Duomo, the modern art gallery in Palazzo Collicola, the Archaeological Museum, and the Roman Theater just 200 meters from home. These are some of the many other sacred and secular sites, made famous in recent times by the Festival dei Due Mondi, and now celebrated by "Don Matteo," the most watched Italian TV series in the world.
Grateful for your attention, I extend my warmest regards, and look forward to welcoming you personally to Spoleto.
