On our property, you’ll find a swimming pond, perfect for cooling off after or during a woodsauna. You can also use the grill house or the grill on the terrace.

Sleeps up to 8 guests
There are two bedrooms, plus sofa beds to keep everyone comfortable.

Family-ready
Toys, games, a large blackboard, a travel crib, and a high chair are included.

Workspace for rent
A 35 m² artist workspace connected to the accommodation is available for rent. The space is fully private during your stay and not in use by the artist. Interested in extra space? Ask for a quote.


Nature at your doorstep
There are two national parks nearby, an adventure park, and the Somerniemi market just 5 km away. Many other amenities can be found within 10–50 km. Helsinki and Turku are about 100 km away, and Tampere about 150 km.

I was born in the Netherlands and moved to Belgium when I was one year old. After growing up there and completing my studies in arts, I moved to Finland in 1999. We have three children, and they have all moved out now. I work as an illustrator artist and also teach art education.

The guesthouse was built in 2004 and has hosted many of our family members, as well as ourselves. In recent years, it became clear that the space was no longer being fully used, so I decided to start renting it out as a cottage, wich I have been very much enjoying.

We moved here because of the unique surroundings—there is a certain magic in this forest that we truly value. The place is very suitable for couples looking for a peaceful and spacious stay, for families with both young and older children, and for people who enjoy traveling with their pets.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The place is unique, showcasing the typical vegetation of Southwest Finland, and its location is especially convenient. Two major cities, Turku and Helsinki, are both within about 100 km, while smaller towns such as Somero, Salo, and Forssa are just 15–45 km away.

There are also several beautiful national parks within roughly 30 km, as well as many lakes within 10–20 km. Iso-Valkee, for example, is a clear-water lake worth visiting.

Especially in the summer, there is plenty to do in the area, including a nearby farm with domestic animals and an activity park. In late summer and autumn, our forest is perfect for picking berries and mushrooms.
