The promenade is perfect to sit and watch the local fisherman land the day's catch, and you may wish to enjoy Redcar's famous lemon top ice cream, tried by Prince Charles on one of his frequent visits. The 80ft accessible vertical pier 'Redcar's Beacon' offers spectacular views, and visit the lifeboat museum, home to the 'Zetland' built in 1802, which is known to be the world's oldest lifeboat. To the south-east, The Stray, a 2 mile stretch of grassland between the golden beach and coast road links Redcar and Marske, why not take a leisurely walk and admire the breathtaking vista of coastline and cliffs?
