Out of this world - incredible place with an superlative garden and wonderful owner

Tranquillity in Anglet, privacy beyond your wildest dreams, fabulous and incredibly helpful owner, a garden from paradise which takes your breath away, a great swimming pool. You will not find a property in Anglet that matches this one, and it is surrounded by woods and wildlife - truly magnificent.

A paradise on earth

We spent 5 weeks in this villa and were enchanted with it every minute of our stay. The main attraction is living in a beautiful garden totally secluded in a forest and yet within easy reach to civilisation. The pool, the garden and the surrounding forest are just too beautiful for words. Even the pictures do not do them full justice. The inside is rather simply but tastefully furnished. At first glance we had the impression that the interior was somewhat less posh than expected from such a property but soon enough we discovered that everything was arranged in the best taste and comfort. Most of the time we were alone on the whole property (the owner being away) and enjoyed the liberty and privacy. For a few days we were joined by our family and the house offered ample accommodation and fun for six. It is not a cheap place to rent, especially not in the season, but if you can afford it I recommend it wholeheartedly.

très bon contact avec le propriétaire et la personne qui s'occupe de la location en son absence, très réactive quand le chauffe-eau est tombé en panne.belle maison dans un coin idyllique. Dommage que la forêt ait subi un incendie il y a quelques années.L'allée sur 200 m mérite qu'on coupe les herbes hautes.points faibles : pas de four et barbecue trop petit pour 6 bons mangeurs alsaciens et rouillé (dommage). Par rapport à la photo, il manquait le parasol, la table et les coussins pour les transats.Nous y avons quand même passé un très agréable séjour, le jardin est très beau, la piscine agréable et la maison sans voisin proche.

Une petite oasis

Propriete surprenante on traverse un banal lotissement et on decouvre au bord de la foret une petite oasis isolee au bout d un chemin tout en etant a 5 minutes des plages et commerces un propriétaire present mais tres discret un espace securise pouprofiternotnotre oetite fille notre petite fille sans crainte

Sehr schönes Objekt in traumhafter Lage

Sehr schönes Anwesen in einem abgelegenen Waldstück. Äußerst gepflegte sehr schöne Außenanlage. Die Innenausstattung ist gut. Die Beschreibung bei FeWo trifft es sehr gut (bitte genau lesen). Die Queensize-Betten sind eher schmal. Alle notwendigen Geräte vorhanden. Alexandre ist ein sehr freundlicher und behilflicher Gastgeber, der sehr viel Wert auf die Pflege seines Anwesens legt und das auch von seinen Gästen erwartet. Obwohl er auf dem Grundstück wohnt hat man uneingeschränkte Privatsphäre. Check-in und check-out völlig problemlos. Insgesamt: jederzeit wieder.

Une location paradisiaque

C'est une maison qui est nichée au coeur de la foret , et là c'est le calme absolu hormis les chants des oiseaux et sans aucun vis à vis . Le jardin est magnifique car très arboré et très fleuris et de plus décoré avec beaucoup de soins et de gout . Il en est de même avec la maison qui est très spacieuse , fonctionnelle et toujours aménagée avec élégance . Les chambres sont grandes et dotées d'armoires pour le rangement de nos valises et d'ailleurs la chambre parentale est très grande et avec une vue magnifique sur le jardin grâce à sa grande baie vitrée . La cuisine possède tout le matériel nécessaire pour cuisiner et de même pour ce qui est assiettes , couverts , verres qui est en nombre . Tout le matériel électroménager fonctionne correctement et est récent , même le barbecue mis à notre disposition . La piscine est très grande et assez profonde avec ses 1 m 40 et on y accède par des marches avec toujours un aménagement de rêve tout autour idéal pour lire ou faire la sieste sur les transats qui sont autour de la piscine . La cerise sur le gâteau est son système de filtration qui n'est non pas à base de chlore mais de sel . A cela je rajouterai aussi que bien que la piscine soit devant la maison du propriétaire ( ce qui m'a fait un peu peur au départ ) , il fermait toujours ses fenêtres de manière à ce que l'on se sente seul et pas observé et franchement je n'y faisais plus attention sinon je ne m'y serai jamais baigné . Le propriétaire était présent lors de notre séjour , mais d'une discrétion absolu et d'une gentillesse sans pareil car il veut vraiment que ceux qui loue son bien passe le meilleur séjour possible et on peut dire qu'il est au petit soins pour ses locataires mais sans faux semblant et sans que cela soit étouffant . La plage est à moins de 10 mn en voiture est les parkings sont très grands . Un supermarché Leclerc est à 4 km 7 et les petits commerces sont tous très accessibles et à moins de 10 mn en voiture et je vous conseille même un restaurant : Les Pins . Donc c'est une location que je recommande vivement car c'est un dépaysement assuré pour son calme et pour sa tranquillité et nous y avons passé un séjour inoubliable : merci au propriétaire .

Oasis near the ocean with ordnung

Property is in beautiful location as described, very well maintained and supplied. However - few inaccuracies in description, first of alls, there is NO AIR CONDITIONER. Not even fan, we had few uncomfortable nights when temperatures creeped towards +30 and it is always very humid there. Secondly it is not the villa per se that you rent, but annex to the main villa that is occupied by owner. Pool is only allowed to use between 10 and 7PM. No ball games due to a lot of plants and landscaped garden which can be an issue if you are with young children. You have to take out your garbage to the public bins that are 15 mins walk away. Owner lays rules down on your arrival, there are quite few of them. With him being on site full time and trying to stay out of your way and with all these numerous rules (there is printed list of them in living room if your memory does not serve you well) you cannot escape feeling you are invading someones privacy. I think property would benefit if owner saw himself not just a landlord but a host as well. Overall we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay, owner was pleasant and helpful and environment is out of this world. However due to inaccuracies in property marketing description makes us feel that it was overpriced and we did not quite get what we thought we were paying for. Highly recommended for quiet and peaceful stay, might be tricky with a bit more active children.

A Beautiful Setting

A tranquil oasis set in the middle of a pine forest. Secluded setting with a lovely pool in a beautiful garden with palm trees. A perfect place to relax but with easy access for days out in the local area. Great variety of local restaurants and shops within walking distance of the villa. Lovely walks through the pine forest to the beach at Anglet. The spacious villa was clean and comfortable offering 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen with a private space for eating outside. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and resides in the adjoining property but kept himself to himself. We had a wonderful week of rest and relaxation.

Simplement ideal!

Des le premier contact avec Mr. Fischnaller, les demarches se sont deroulees simplement et efficacement. Nous avons ete acceuillis en personne par Mr. Alexandre qui nous a donne le toiur de la propriete. Mon epouse, ma mere, mon fils de 12 ans et moi-meme avons passes dix jours "a la campagne" tout en etant en meme temps a deux minutes de la halle de Blancpignon, boulangerie, marchand de journaux, restaurants etc... I grew up in the Basque Country, was very familiar with the area, took morning walks across the forest to reach the Ocean. I would recommand this property to anyone; the pictures do not tell th ewhole story: the grounds are amazing, the lay out perfect.it was a pleasure to deal with the owner, checking out was a breeze, I would not hesitate to call this place: paradise :-). I would book this property for vacation again. Ikus arte/a bientot! Beñat.

Lovely house near the beach

We very much appreciated this beautiful house close the beach. What a surprise on arrival: We leave the ordinary for a rare environment: We access to the property on a private trail that winds through a little pinewoods. After 200 meters, a magnificent secluded property appears, surrounded by a beautiful, exotic garden with palm trees and flowers everywhere. This calm, concealed property is ideally situated, void of traffic, with many activities in walking distance: It is just 1 mile from the beautiful and large sandy beach of Anglet, shops and supermarket at 500 paces, even the forest exercise path can be directly accessed from the property. Other close activities include: Golf, tennis, horse riding, fishing, sailing, skate parks and surfing. A warm welcome by the owner, followed by privileged info about local life awaits. The house was very clean, comfortable bedding and cosy furnishing. All the windows open upon garden or forest. The well-equipped, practical kitchen communicates with the living room which opens up to an outside veranda covered by a glass roof inviting open air dining. On the lawn a few meters away, the bamboo pavilion invites relaxation. All is well thought out. It is a Provencal style home with a lovely pool rippled by water cascading from a decorative vase and an Italian style fountain genuflecting before a knoll hugged by hydrangeas. We highly appreciated our stay and we hope to return as soon as possible.

Magnifique propriété près des plages

Quelle surprise en arrivant, on quitte la civilisation pour arriver dans un endroit hors du commun. Une barrière avec interphone ferme l´accès d´un chemin forestier privatif sinuant dans une pinède. Au bout d´environ 200 mètres apparaît une magnifique propriété fermée par un portail bleu en fer forgé, flanqué de deux piliers en pierre de taille sur lesquels reposent deux vases fleuris. Nous découvrons alors un grand parc avec une multitude de palmiers et de fleurs, une maisons de style provençal, une belle piscine avec une jarre de laquelle l´eau tombe en cascade, une fontaine italienne devant une butte recouverte d´hortensias. Nous passons sous un porche en bambou pour accéder à notre maison devant laquelle un pavillon en bambou est posé sur une dalle ronde en pierres roses. Nous nous imaginons déjà prendre le thé…ou l´apéritif. C´est le propriétaire qui nous accueille, chaleureux et nous prodiguant les premiers conseils, nous donnant les bonnes adresses. La maison est confortable, joliment décorée, la propreté est irréprochable. Toutes les fenêtres ou baies vitrées donnent sur le jardin. Nous apprécions particulièrement la suite parentale avec un très beau miroir Napoléon 3, un grand lit en rotin blanc et sa grande salle de bain avec baignoire, bidet et double lavabo de couleur bleu nuit. La cuisine est bien équipée, elle donne sur le séjour qui s´ouvre sur une grande terrasse extérieure abritée par un toit en verre, idéal pour les repas en plein air. Et à quelques mètres sur la pelouse se situe le pavillon en bambou. Tout est bien pensé. La maison est en très bon état, très propre, la literie est confortable, le mobilier tout à fait convenable. La piscine est sécurisée et très agréable avec sa grande terrasse en dalles roses et ses recoins à l´ombre des palmiers, idéal pour la sieste, bercé par la fontaine. La situation de cette propriété est idéale car au calme, sans circulation, et tout peut se faire à pied : Les commerces sont à 500 mètres, la plage à 1500 mètres. Même le parcours sportif dans la pinède peut se faire directement de la propriété. Et les activités à proximité ne manquent pas: Golf, équitation, voile, surf, nous avions l´embarras du choix. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et nous espérons revenir bientôt.

Très agréable séjour dans un site d´exception

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cette très belle propriété située dans le calme d´une pinède au bout d´un chemin privatif, sans circulation, idéal pour les enfants. Tout est pensé pour le confort et le bonheur des locataires. Accueil chaleureux avec des bons conseils pour nos vacances, maison confortable avec 3 chambres dont une magnifique suite parentale avec sa grande salle de bain, une belle terrasse abritée pour les repas à l´extérieur, un pavillon en bambou pour la lecture ou les repas sur un jardin privatif fleuri. La piscine dans le parc nous était exclusivement réservée, avec des transats sous les palmiers, idéal pour la sieste ou la lecture. Nous faisions nos courses à pied, les magasins se trouvant à seulement 600 mètres. Et nous étions en 10 minutes à la plage en bicyclettes à travers la pinède. Pour les sorties, nous avions l´embarras du choix, entre les restaurants de plage à proximité ou Biarritz magnifiquement illuminé le soir. Sans oublier les bars à tapas à 30 minutes en Espagne. Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances et nous reviendrons dans cette belle et accueillante région.

I spent my youth in beautiful Aquitaine, first in Guéthary and then for a long spell in Biarritz. However, I sought a less urban venue to settle down in. After many years my search ended when I discovered what I thought I would never find: a small paradise in the heart of a pine wood at the end of a private winding path, only calm and nature. Not isolated however, with beach and shops nearby. Since that winter day of discovery, I share my Eden with friends and vacationers and would be happy to welcome you !

What I love above all is the exceptional setting in a forest glade at the end of a private road: neither neighbors nor traffic, only nature & calm. Nevertheless the property is not isolated with shops at 500 meters and the beach at only a 20 minutes walk through the forest.
Since purchase in 1998, I have entirely remodeled the garden drawing inspiration from my numerous voyages: Curving patio paved with Brazilian rose stone, a free-form pool bordered by palm trees, flowered porticos, an Italian fountain all surrounded by olive trees, palms, dracaenas, yuccas, oleanders and abundant flowers.
The house, dating to 1940, has been entirely renovated in view of comfort, sacrificing neither their charm nor the ancient roof tiles.
Decoration tastefully mingles contemporary, Asiatic and family antiques, design mixed with exotic. And my passion continues.
