In the village market place lies a statue of John Harrison, a famous clock-maker and inventor, surrounded by a selection of local shops, a convenience store, a butchers and a pub. The city of Lincoln is within an hours drive and offers numerous places of interest, including its impressive cathedral which has famously been seen in both The Da Vinci Code and coronation scenes in Young Victoria.
