The Neighborhood:
The beautiful town of Usk nestles in the gentle Monmouthshire hills along the lovely banks of the River Usk. The town is steeped in history, from the ruins of a Norman castle to the seventeenth century buildings that adorn the cobbled streets. It's like stepping back in time with wonderful antique shops and cosy, friendly tea rooms and yet the more up to date boutiques fit nicely into the leisurely pace of life in this sleepy market town. The golfing courses abound in the area with the spectacular Celtic Manor Golf Course close by where Europe won the Ryder Cup and where all golfers are welcome whatever your handicap. The beautiful Usk and Wye Valleys offer wonderful scenic walks or cycle rides and the array of renowned restaurants offer fine dining at the highest level. A wonderful part of Wales for all the family all year round.
