The property in Lecce is perfect for a visit to the city. The location is excellent - not far from the station, a wonderful central position within easy reach of restaurants, cafes, and all the key sights in the city. The house is in a quiet street with a wonderful courtyard nearby (beautiful pomegranate trees)!The terrace on the second floor is a great place to relax for a morning coffee, drinks before sunset, and a terrific view of the rooftops across the city.The house is very clean and has everything you are going to need for a city break. Our host was wonderful, we were met at the house (ahead of our check-in time), and given a tour round - one of the lovely touches was the provision of tea, coffee, water, biscuits, butter, jam etc. to help to start your stay. Nearby there is a lovely market which sells everything (except bread) - fresh fruit, veg, deli and local wine!The only thing to note is that the access to the first floor is via a spiral staircase, which might not suit elderly travellers - we had no problem making our way throughout the stay.We would recommend this property both for location and value, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
