The Space:

Welcome to The Evergreen Retreat, a beautifully designed two-bedroom lodge, nestled in the peaceful countryside of Allerthorpe near York. Surrounded by woodland views and tranquil nature, this cosy yet modern retreat is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy everything Yorkshire has to offer. Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, family holiday or weekend break with friends, the lodge provides a comfortable and stylish base all year round.



Inside, you’ll find a bright and spacious open-plan living area designed for socialising and relaxing together. The comfortable lounge features cosy seating, a Smart TV and large windows that fill the space with natural light while offering calming woodland views. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed for a self-catering stay. A dining area sits beside the kitchen, perfect for family meals or evening drinks after a day exploring York and the surrounding countryside.



The lodge comfortably sleeps up to four guests across two well-presented bedrooms. The master bedroom features a comfortable double bed with storage space and soft furnishings to create a relaxing atmosphere. The second bedroom offers twin beds, making it ideal for children, friends or additional guests. A modern bathroom includes a spacious shower, toilet and sink, with fresh towels provided for your stay.



One of the highlights of the lodge is the private outdoor decking area, where you can enjoy peaceful mornings with a coffee or unwind beneath the stars in your own hot tub. Surrounded by trees and nature, it’s the perfect setting to switch off and relax after busy days sightseeing or walking nearby trails.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to their lodge from 4pm on their arrival date.

Our on-site team will be on hand to support your check in and ensure you have everything you need for your stay.



Please note that there is one parking space to the side of each lodge, this is to be used by one vehicle only. All other vehicles can drive to the lodge to drop-off luggage but must park their car in the main car park for the duration of their stay.

There is strictly no parking on the grass at any times.



Quiet times are between the hours of 10pm and 7am and we politely ask that you respect your neighbours when using the outdoor facilities during these hours to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time when staying with us.



All guests can make use of the additional facilities at the Lodge Park. These include JJ's Bar & Grill, a Take-away Pizza Shack, 9 Hole Golf Course, Driving Range and Children's Play Park

Located in a peaceful rural setting yet close to York, Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park is easy to reach and perfectly situated for exploring Yorkshire. The park lies just off the A1079, around two miles from Pocklington and approximately a half-hour drive from York city centre. Guests travelling from further afield can reach the park via the A1(M) and A64, both providing quick and direct routes through the region. Every lodge benefits from on-site parking, allowing guests to travel freely and explore the surrounding countryside at their own pace.



For those using public transport, York Railway Station offers fast and frequent services from London, Leeds, and Manchester, while local bus routes connect York and Pocklington several times a day. From Pocklington, it’s just a short taxi ride to the park.



Within easy reach, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay — from local shops and dining in Pocklington to walking trails at Allerthorpe Common Nature Reserve.
