You’ll be staying in an early 20th-century apartment in Strömsberg’s well-preserved industrial heritage area. The apartment features a private kitchen with all the equipment you need, a bathroom with a shower, and space for up to six people. You can rent sheets and towels for 100 SEK per person.



The apartment is located in a historic building that once served as workers’ housing for the village’s ironworks. The interior reflects the building’s charm and history, while providing modern amenities for a comfortable stay.



You share a garden with patios and a grill with other guests. Here you can enjoy peace and greenery after a day full of adventures. Right behind the house, a fitness trail begins for those who want to get some exercise.



Explore the old ironworks with its smithy and coal shed, visit the Nostalgia Museum with its vintage vehicles and café, or head to beautiful swimming spots along the coast such as Fagerviken and Ängskär. In Tierp, eight kilometers away, there is a grocery store and an exciting swimming spot in a quarry with a high diving cliff. Lövstabruk, Gävle, and Uppsala are all within easy reach.

A charming little apartment in the style of an old...

A charming little apartment in the style of an old Swedish summer cottage. Beautifully situated in a large, well-maintained garden with flowers and trees bordering the forest, where there are lovely hiking trails and opportunities to pick mushrooms and berries. The historic surroundings of Strömsbergs Bruk make exploring the village area a fascinating experience. Great amenities in and around the house: kitchen equipment, a grill, garden tables, a ping-pong table with paddles, and the option to borrow a rowboat and a canoe. Unfortunately, the apartment—which, as described, has a loft—has a bed in the kitchen, and an uninsulated cold-water pipe in the bathroom means that the floor constantly has a large puddle of condensation right in front of the sink and toilet.
