Two generations refuge in magical Lønstrup

The vacation home is classic yet newly renovated, nestled among the dune landscape and the coast’s wide, white sandy beaches. Every square foot here has been lovingly crafted, featuring personal, serene, and aesthetically pleasing details.



When you step inside, you are enveloped in tranquility and coziness with the white-painted wood on the walls and the sloping ceilings, the warm and soothing colors, and soft textiles, which together create the perfect setting for togetherness in down-to-earth surroundings. The decor features flea market finds as well as new, carefully selected purchases, plenty of candles and string lights, and on the walls hang paper cutouts that the family sells through their own business. Choose one of the house’s hand-picked ceramic cups for your morning coffee, throw open the patio doors, and enjoy the sun, the silence, the birds singing, and the wind rustling through the tall grass of the dunes. In the evening, you can snuggle up on the sofa or play a round of board games while enjoying the warmth from the wood-burning stove and its crackling sounds.



The vacation home has a total of 4 terraces, one of which is completely secluded with plenty of space to retreat, while the other offers a view of the entire garden. The house is situated on a large grassy lot where you can play soccer, pitch tents, spread out blankets, and soak up the sun’s rays. The lovely garden also features a large fire pit where you can gather and enjoy each other’s company. As evening approaches, grab a glass of wine, head up into the dunes behind the house, and enjoy the most breathtaking view of the dune landscape and the sea as the sun sets.



Take a trip to the town of Løkken, where you can stroll along the bathhouses or visit the century-old Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse, surrounded by sand. Lønstrup’s stunning natural surroundings offer many hiking trails, including one at Lønstrup Klint, which also tells a fascinating story. The town of Lønstrup has plenty of cozy cafés, ice cream shops, and local artisans whose shops you can browse. Just outside Lønstrup, you’ll also find Skallerup Seaside Resort, which offers a variety of activities for all ages.
