With only the bare essentials, the cottage's clean lines and spartan interior design provide peace of mind and eye. The focus here is on a simple life with nature and each other.





The beautiful cottage is a so-called low impact house, designed to leave a minimal footprint on its surroundings. The cottage is mainly built in exclusive Douglas fir from Denmark. Outside, you'll be met by rough planed planks that can withstand the elements, while the fine sanded and oiled planks and flooring from Dinesen give a softer and warmer impression in the large, open living room inside. Sink into the deep armchairs, face the nature outside the large glass windows and enjoy that there is no unnecessary visual noise to disturb your view.





You can go for long walks in Vollerup Forest or at the beach, which is just a few minutes' walk from the cottage. Follow the paths and look for hedgehogs, salamanders and toads in the scrub and ponds, or spot fallow deer and hares leaping across the open areas. Vollerup Strand is also a great place to pull on a pair of waders and cast your line for a silvery sea trout. In the evenings, retire to the cottage's simple bedrooms, or sit outside and enjoy the area's minimal light pollution while you look for shooting stars in the night sky.
