Here you’ll find a peaceful retreat surrounded by magnificent nature. The cabin is so secluded that you’ll feel as if you’re alone in the mountains—perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. No matter the season, the surroundings offer unforgettable experiences. It’s about a 300-meter walk from the parking lot to the cabin, but a small lift is available to transport your luggage, making the walk easier. The trail down to the cabin is marked with reflectors. Follow the main road past the first cabin, then follow the marked trail to the cabin.
Inside the cabin, you can gather around the warmth of the stove while a snowstorm rages outside. There’s room for the whole family, and the interior invites you to enjoy relaxing moments with a good game or a cup of hot chocolate.
Running water is supplied from the river, and on warm days you can enjoy the wood-fired hot tub. The river and swimming spot are right nearby, and the property offers plenty of space for outdoor activities and campfires.
Please note that there is no running water in the cabin during the winter. In that case, you’ll either need to melt snow for drinking water or bring containers of water with you.
The area offers fantastic hiking opportunities year-round. In winter, you can strap on your skis right outside the door, while summer invites you to hike to Vettisfossen, the 1,000-meter peak, and Hurrungane. Turtagrø, the outdoor swimming area in Øvre Årdal, and Eidsbugarden are all within easy reach.
