A lovely little gem in a nice, peaceful neighborhood. We spent the morning on the terrace, where we were visited many times by squirrels out and about in the fall and various small birds (we were especially thrilled by the Eurasian treecreeper).

The small cottage Idyl is perfect for a stay near Silkeborg. It’s easy to get there by car, and there’s plenty of parking right next to the house. The house itself is cozy and tastefully decorated. It has everything you need. The cottage is in a fantastic location with the forest right outside and just a 2-minute walk from the water.

The place was recently renovated and is in impeccable condition. Everything works, and it has everything you need for a stay—actually, even more than that ;-) The immediate surroundings are a bit upscale, but there are some interesting buildings. So it’s great that this place is located on the edge of this neighborhood, right next to the forest. The terrace behind the house is absolutely quiet, and you’re right in the middle of nature. We planned to go out for a meal, but we liked it so much here that we ended up cooking for ourselves the whole time. It’s great that the fjord is just a 5-minute walk away, and we were able to use it for swimming and for our boats and SUPs. ...only then do you realize how quickly a week goes by.
