Pennan is a delightful small village nestling beneath the cliffs. This was a lovely home in a beautiful location across from the beach, with great views of the sea. The facilities were good and the bed is very comfortable. An improvement would be to provide some information about the house, and the local area, and a visitors book. The owner was easily contacted, and helpful, when there was an issue. The neighbours and other locals are very friendly. We recommend a meal at the Pennan Inn (just a few doors away!) And enjoy a cuppa and cake from the Coastal Cuppie at the harbour. Check for events in the village hall. We saw a good photographic exhibition there in July. There's a lot to see in the area: For birdwatchers: visit RSPB Troup Head for gannets or Bullers of Buchan for puffins. Peterhead Prison, and the Museum of Lighthouses in Fraserburgh, are both well worth a visit.
