Welcome to fantastic Blidö, a true gem in the Stockholm Archipelago! Here, you will stay on a lush natural plot in one part of a very pleasant cottage. The owner lives in the other part, but with privacy maintained for both parties. The sea is just a short stroll away – perfect for those who would like to take a refreshing swim from the cliffs. Enjoy lovely outdoor seating areas both at the front and back of the cottage, with beautiful views of the surrounding archipelago nature. You are welcomed into a cozy open-plan living area where the kitchen, dining area, and seating area are combined. Large windows offer wonderful views of the peaceful surroundings at the back of the property. The kitchen is equipped with most of what you need, and freezer space is available with the owner. The kitchen flows into the living and dining area, with direct access to the back terrace where you can enjoy the sun throughout the day. The comfortable bedroom features a double bed. If you are more than two guests, there are two fold-out extra beds available in the living room. A generous wooden deck with a sun lounger and a comfortable lounge set provides the perfect place to relax while listening to birdsong. There is also another outdoor seating area near the entrance where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and abundant birdlife. Good to know! The accommodation is part of a cottage where the owner lives in the other section. However, you have your own entrance and private outdoor areas, ensuring privacy for everyone. Within just a few minutes’ walk, you can reach the sea and enjoy a refreshing swim from the cliffs or from a jetty. If you prefer a sandy beach, Rådmansholmen bathing area on the other side of the island is one of several great options. Blidö is one of the most popular destinations in the Roslagen region. You can reach the island by a free car ferry from Furusund via the island of Yxlan, followed by another short car ferry crossing to Blidö. The ferries operate several times per hour. On Blidö, you will find everything from a grocery store, bakery, church, healthcare centre, and farms to various leisure activities. You can play padel, enjoy mini golf, browse local flea markets, or simply explore the beautiful archipelago landscape. A nature reserve is located in the southern part of the island. Just off the coast of Blidö lies Norröra, where the famous television adaptation of Astrid Lindgren’s beloved work The Children of Noisy Village? Wait—not actually. Better known, Norröra was the filming location for Saltkråkan, one of Astrid Lindgren’s most famous stories. If you would like to enjoy a good meal, visit Lilla Krogen or Blidö Brygga & Bistro, which also offers entertainment on certain evenings. There is also a charming Champagne bar, bakery, and laundry service. A delightful little square well worth a visit! If you would like to experience more of a town atmosphere, Norrtälje is a wonderful place to stroll around and offers all the services you might need. For those looking for even more excitement, central Stockholm is within comfortable reach, where you can visit the Royal Palace, Skansen, and Gröna Lund amusement park. You can also take advantage of the Waxholmsbolaget ferries, which provide regular boat connections to and from Blidö. Blidö is a highly popular destination and one of the few places where you can easily travel far out into the archipelago by car, bus, and ferry. Don't miss this idyllic archipelago retreat!
