Villa Leonore is your own little paradise by Lake Mjøsa—three charming houses dating from 1908, built for Leonore, the wife of tramway director Dybwad. You’ll have the entire property to yourselves, with a beautiful garden leading down to your own private beach by the lake.
The three houses have been carefully restored using original materials and linseed oil paint. The brown house contains the kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The yellow house is perfect for children and teens—it also has a bathroom. The green house has a bedroom, a private bathroom, and a patio door leading directly out to the garden.
The kitchen is well-equipped, and the porch is large and inviting. The long plank table is perfect for summer evenings and delicious dinners al fresco. The garden and beach offer plenty of space for play, relaxation, and swimming in Lake Mjøsa.
Helgøya—“the holy island”—is located in the middle of Norway’s largest lake. The island is known for its fertile farmland and a special sense of tranquility that keeps guests coming back year after year. You can swim, fish, kayak, bike, and hike along beautiful trails.
