The utterly gorgeous Landscove Barns sit within a magnificent country estate in Devon’s South Hams, alongside the impressive Grade II listed manor, Landscove House. Surrounded by glorious countryside near the village of Landscove, the barns provide stylish boutique accommodation for up to twelve guests across six beautifully restored cottages and suites, with additional sofa beds allowing space for up to eight more guests. Together with Landscove House, the estate can accommodate up to thirty-six guests, making it an excellent choice for celebrations, family gatherings and corporate stays.
Originally built in the late 1700s as part of a dairy farm, the barns have been thoughtfully renovated to blend historic character with contemporary comfort. Devon and Cornish stone walls, exposed beams and original dairy features sit alongside sleek kitchens, underfloor heating and chic interiors inspired more by modern loft living than traditional country cottages. Several cottages enjoy freestanding baths, wet room showers, private patios and flexible accommodation layouts ideal for groups travelling together.
The estate also features the impressive Glasshouse event space, the Dairy Kitchen for private dining or cookery events and a converted Second World War Nissen Hut. Guests can choose between self-catering stays, breakfasts or fine dining experiences while enjoying the beautiful enclosed courtyard and surrounding countryside. Just three miles from Dartmoor and eight miles from the coast, Landscove Barns are perfectly placed for exploring Devon’s villages, beaches, rivers and walking trails.



***The Barns are located next to Landscove House, and can be rented together for an incredible wedding or celebration. There is a professional kitchen, and spectacular big barn with glass roof for entertaining. 



 



Features:

Landscove Barns accommodation is set over six barn suites that can be configured in a variety of ways. All accommodation has attached baths beautifully finished using Italian marble and designed with a contemporary feel. Pamper yourself with Molton Brown toiletries, fluffy towels and gowns. All the beds have pocket spring mattresses Egyptian cotton sheets and feather pillows.

A few steps from the barns there is a large professional kitchen/dining area that can seat 30-40. There is an extra fee for use of this space, which must be negotiated with the owner. Most of the suites however have their own fully equipped kitchens.

Barn Suites 1 and 2 are independent but Barn Suites 3 - 6 are all connected so they can form one large four bedroom house, perfect for a bigger group.

Landscove Barns enjoy a spectacular setting in Devon’s South Hams, surrounded by hundreds of acres of countryside and just three miles from Dartmoor National Park. The area is packed with wonderful villages, scenic walks, excellent restaurants and outdoor adventures. Nearby Buckfastleigh is home to the much-loved South Devon Railway, where beautifully restored steam trains travel through the River Dart valley to Totnes, while Hill House Nursery and Gardens offers peaceful gardens and charming tea rooms close to the estate.
South Devon’s coastline is equally impressive, with Dartmouth, Salcombe and Kingsbridge all within easy reach. Dartmouth’s historic waterfront is filled with galleries, marinas, festivals and waterside restaurants, while Salcombe is renowned for its sailing, boutique shopping, beaches and fantastic seafood. Visitors can also explore Agatha Christie’s Greenway House, take the ferry to picturesque Dittisham, or enjoy beach days at Slapton Sands, Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea. From watersports and coastal walks to market towns and estuary adventures, there is no shortage of things to experience nearby.

Standard changeover clean included in the price. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
