The Blackbird's Home, a cosy nest in the heart of Aosta Valley.

The Blackbird's Home is a bright, newly renovated 50m2 open-space attic, with view on the rooftops and the mountains.
We are in the quiet village of Nus, a few steps from all the services that the town offers: convenient free parking, means of transport, shops, pizzerias, a delicious pastry shop and a renowned restaurant. The central location of Nus (12 km from Aosta) is ideal for visiting all the most famous places in the Valley without traveling excessive distances.

The accommodation has high ceilings with exposed beams and wooden floors; it is located on the highest floor of a house that dates back to the end of the 1700s, a period from which it retains some parts in stone and wood.
It is composed of a complete kitchen, living area with dining table and sofa bed (120 x 190 cm), sleeping area with double bed (160 x 200 cm), bathroom with shower, small laundry area, independent entrance and balcony.
IMPORTANT: To reach the attic from the entrance, you have to climb a flight of stairs; this may not be safe for children or people with mobility issues.

The house overlooks a pedestrian alley ("llaou" in patois) in the center of Nus, a village of medieval origins.
The location of Nus is ideal for discovering and visiting the Aosta Valley. Being located in the central part of the region it allows you to reach all the side valleys and the most famous locations in a short time, changing destination every day: among these Courmayeur with the Mont Blanc massif and the Skyway, the Pré-Saint-Didier spa, Cogne with the Gran Paradiso National Park, Valtournanche and Monte Cervino, Gressoney and the Monte Rosa group.

For those who want to stay nearby, the castle of Fénis with the Aosta Valley Crafts Museum (less than 2 km from home) and the historic center of the city of Aosta are unmissable destinations.
I also suggest traveling along the Saint Barthélemy Valley to the Astronomical Observatory and the Planetarium and then continuing until you reach the panoramic cross-country ski trails above the hamlet of Lignan, which in summer turn into beautiful walks or mountain bike rides.
