Upon arriving at the town home that i rented from Nov 30-Dec 8th 2019, along with my wife, and two young daughters, and after a long day of traveling, I come to find that our home was already occupied by another family. I immediately contacted NextHome, and after reviewing their records, it turns out that we have been double booked, due to a booking error by one of their associates. Now, i understand that things happen, however our rental was a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath for a reason. After asking for a comparable unit, they said they could only offer me a 2 bedroom unit. I said that would not suffice and that they would have to provide a like unit. Long story short, it fell on me to find a new rental, for same day check in with out any of their help. As you can imagine, finding a 3 bedroom for same day check in was doable, but also more expensive for obvious reasons. after booking the new unit, I immediately contacted NextHome, provided them with a copy of the new invoice, and asked them to pay the difference. They acknowledged they received the email, and assured me that the owner would contact me by Friday, Dec 6th to resolve the issue. It is now Monday, Dec 16th, and i have yet to hear from the owner.
I am posting this to assure that you triple confirm any of your reservations with these folks, and be aware that there is a potential to be double booked when you arrive at your vacation.
