Location is ideal for seclusion. The avid hunter or fisherman is in heaven but this is not for the city type. We love Montana and specifically chose this area for our outdoor needs, that being said; I also intentionally chose amenities such as air conditioning, electricity and plumbing. The owners are hands on and go out of their way to make sure you feel welcomed, even entering our cabin and adjusting lighting and furnishing during our stay. We often felt as if our parents were right next door, so newly weds may not wish to book such an excursion; as the necessary open windows and doors leave little privacy. Being a smaller person usually sharing a bed isn't an issue but the proximity to the wall made it nearly impossible to enter without climbing over my spouse. I did finally cave and move the bed, while difficult I at least could enter and exit without shaking him. I might suggest the elderly find the bed a bit weak in mattress support but you are roughing it right?! The deer are amazing and they often find themselves having breakfast within feet of you. With enough cowboy bars in the vicinity, you need not worry about meals in, aside from perhaps breakfast. The kitchen is however available for meal preparation and even had coffee to our surprise! Be prepared for extreme weather shifts, being at the base of the Beartooth mountains. You will surely enjoy the experience!
