An Authentic Chalet near the cable car in Saint-gervais-les-bains

An authentic 3 bedroom chalet over 3 levels which makes this property unique as it is as affordable as an apartment but you get your own stand-alone traditional chalet - ideal for a small group of friends, a romantic getaway for any couple or the perfect retreat for a family.

Located a 5 minute walk from the Telecabine and 10 minute walk into the town.

It is an original 'mazot' (traditional mountain chalet) which has been tastefully renovated to retain the original alpine charm with timber clad walls, exposed beams and log burner. (Sorry out of operation winter season 2024/2025)

It is small and but delightfully cosy and comfortably sleeps 6 people as there are two double bedrooms and a bunk room which has the en-suite toilet and sink. As it's an authentic lodge the beams in some of the rooms are low!

There are also two large decking areas complete with outdoor furniture and bbq which overlooks the pretty town of st gervais and the mont blanc mountain range.

Please note this is a ‘Mazot’ so if you are looking for small, cozy and romantic this is for you and you will love it! It does have steep stairs and some low beams so don’t book if you want spacious, modern or require one level!

Laura is a great host. She was really helpful every time we needed something. The cottage is well equipped. Maybe only the sofa needs changing.

Lo chalet non è adatto a:1) Persone più alte di 1 metro e 70cm, perché le travi sono molto basse in tutti gli ambienti2) neonati, Bambini piccoli, persone con problemi fisici o troppe anziane perché, essendo lo chalet disposto su tre livelli, ci sono scale ripide e pericoloseNel complesso lo chalet è composto da ambienti piccoli e al nostro arrivo non era pulito. Il giardino che si vede in foto con il barbecue e' molto più piccolo di come appare nella foto e pieno di vegetazione nn curata che riduce ulteriormente gli spazi. Anche la vegetazione che costeggia la rampa di accesso allo chalet, composta da gradini piccoli e ripidi, avrebbe bisogno di una potatura in quanto riduce lo spazio già esiguo per il passaggio. Consigliatissima una ristrutturazione e una maggiore attenzione alla pulizia degli ambienti e alla cura della vegetazione.

Bien situé mais très étroit

Le logement est bien situé dans le village (proche du télécabine qui monte aux pistes de ski) et pas très loin du centre ville. La terrasse au soleil à midi est très agréable.Au niveau des points négatifs, la literie et les fauteuils sont assez inconfortables et le chalet est très étroit (plafond bas, douche très étroite, escalier très pentu avec des marches petites, portes basses et étroites,...), ce qui le rend très sombre, surtout dans la cuisine.

Chalet idéalement situé et bien équipé

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Chalet idéalement situé, proche du télécabine. Super accueil, merci Stella !Largement suffisant pour 2 adultes et un ado. Bien équipé. 2 belles terrasses extérieures. Un local pour les skis. Nous avons effectué de belles balades avec nos 2 chiens autour du lac situé à 15 min. Domaine skiable familial avec de bonnes infrastructures, et, grand. Belle découverte. Olivier et Julie

Great chalet for a small group

The property was perfect for our group of three as we could all have separate rooms. The place is cosy but spacious enough for a few more people as long as you’re not too tall!It was spotlessly clean and whilst we didn’t cook in the property the kitchen has all the necessary items to make catering straightforward. Laura was really responsive and helpful to any questions. The locations is great, a short walk to the main lift up to Bettex. Would definitely stay here again.

Envie irrésistible de skier sur le domaine "évasion" de st gervais Mont-Blanc ?Alors vous êtes au parfait endroit avec ce mazot tout équipé et tout confort et tout ça à 5min à pieds du télécabine et donc à 15min des pistes !!! Chalet magnifique, superbement décoré et agencé.

Fine holidays in wonderland

Pretty mazot (tiny house) near the town centre, wonderful place to stay a while with family (2 adults and two teen children). What a lucky owner !

Wonderful!

We absolutely loved Laura’s chalet. So authentic but with everything we needed including a washing machine and dishwasher. We loved the way the windows opened fully so we could enjoy the wonderful views of the mountains having breakfast. The top terrace was so lovely, with pretty nighttime lighting and views of the mountains. Beds were very comfortable. Photos don’t at all do it justice. Also loved Saint Gervais as a town to visit, wish we had stayed longer!

Certains équipements ont besoin d’être changés: joints de la douche noircis, casserole au revêtement très abîmé. Le poêle n’´est pas utilisable ( a la demande de la propriétaire) L’assise d’un des canapé est très abîmée donc on s’enfonce dedans, c’est très inconfortable, Ménage à revoir : la grille du four n’avait pas été nettoyée et présentait des restes alimentaires, un pyjama d’enfant a été retrouvé au sol dans le salon à notre arrivée. L’aspirateur était plein nous avons dû le vider pour l’utiliser. Nous avons mal dormi dans la chambre sous les combles car il y avait toutes les nuits des bruits de grattements dans le mur à la tête du lit. Vraiment dommage car petit chalet très sympathique

bon séjour

joli mazot très fonctionnel. il est rare d'avoir trois chambres individuelles dans un espace si restreint ( et deux WC!) donc tout y est petit mais propre, très bien organisé et hyper mignon, le tout à qqes minutes à pieds du centre de Saint Gervais. nous avons bénéficié d'un temps exceptionnel donc nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse avec BBQ, un bonheur! merci à Laura avec laquelle les échanges sont très réactifs et agréables.

Great location but spoiled by key details

The chalet is very small, as described, and is too cramped for for more than one family. The information mentions two bathrooms, this is not the case it has one bathroom and a cloakroom, i.e. only one shower/bath. The bedding is of poor quality (polyester fibre), is very old and stained. The pillows are also polyester and very tired. The upstairs bed sags badly in the middle and the bed slats on the bunks are broken. The sofa in the lounge is broken making it impossible to sit comfortably in front of the TV. The one bathroom lacks an extractor fan and so smells of damp. The waste in the shower also smells of drains which then permeates throughout the downstairs area. Lastly the bathroom lock has been 'repaired' with a screw for a handle and the cloakroom has a twig to replace the broken toilet roll holder. For these reasons we do not think this property is good value for money and would not recommend it to anyone as it stands.

Old, small and very disappointing

The chalet is small with very low ceilings (wearing a helmet is advisable) and very dark. The road leading to the chalet is very steep and, due to the poor condition of the aspalt, very difficult to drive. The stairs inside and outside the chalet are very steep, making it very difficult accesible for older people. Everything in the chalet is old with lots of wear and tear. This includes the bedlinnen. The toilet next to the kitchen is very narrow, a bigger person cannot use this facility.

Très bon séjour

We really enjoyed our stay in your Mazot. The location is perfect for both walking into the centre of St Gervais and getting to the télécabine. The host Laura was very accommodating to a couple of changes we made to our reservation.

Propreté qui laiss à désirer. Literie à changer, très inconfortable.

Nous ne nous attendions pas à faire le ménage en arrivant et partir à la chasse aux toiles d'araignées nombreuses! Le linge de toilette date et mériterait un renouvellement! Que dire de la literie très inconfortable et des canapés défoncés! Dommage car l'endroit et le chalet dans l'absolu pourraient être bien!

Très bon séjour dans ce mazot très bien décoré et très bien installé. Il est bien situé. Nous sommes allé au marché le vendredi matin. Le village est très joli. Jolies promenades dans le coin.

Tellement cosy !

Ce chalet est tres accueillant et tres bien agencé dans un espace optimisé. La propreté est impeccable. La propriétaire est aimable et accueillante. Nous y avons passé un we très dépaysant et sa localisation vous amène aux pieds des pistes en 15 minutes en voiture. Je le recommande vivement !!
