A quaint little place.
We enjoyed our stay here with a few exceptions..
A. We stayed in late August and the one swamp cooler located in the bedroom never seemed to cool the other rooms. The unit is upstairs so expect it to be a bit warm in the summer months untill the sun goes down and you can open some windows for air flow.
B. In my questinair about why I was staying with them I mentioned that I was hiking Pikes Peak and wanted access to their hot tub, which is the reason I actually chose this place.. When I messaged asking if I could use it the response was that it takes a few hours to heat so we couldn't use it until the next day, which wasn't very professional. If someone specifies they want access to the hot tub it should be heated and ready as needed.
C. We ran out of toilet paper and when I messaged the owners I felt like I was bothering them by their response that they were out and would try to get some and then came hours later and handed me one roll and walked away. I'd say maybe try to be a little more understanding if your supplies run out and not make your guests feel awkward about it.
D. I messaged asking if the had a grill we could possibly borrow and they never responded to my message but a little grill appeared outside with no other communication.
The sweet welcome message on the board, fresh flowers and bagels were a very nice touch.
Other than that we really liked the little place but do think that if they want to run a VRBO they need to work on better customer service skills.
