We are surrounded by ancient oak trees with a private access into a small woodland called Knolls Wood. It is full of deer, squirrels and many varieties of birds, it also includes several large Redwoods and a unique avenue of Monkey Puzzle trees. Deer regulary visit the garden, badgers have a home on the front drive, owls and bats are common as is the local fox.
Within walking distance is the beautiful Rushmere Park. This is a popular tourist attraction with its woodland trails and picnic areas and magnificent trees. Treetops cafe has wonderful views for those appreciating a sedate visit.
Further afield visitors can go to Bletchley Park, the code breaking centre of WW2. Woburn Abbey, with its safari Park and grand old golf courses are nearby. Not forgetting Waddesdon Manor and Whipsnade zoo.
