First off, the good. The view from the room is gorgeous, you're on the 7th of 8 floors. Beautiful ocean front. The resort is nice, but could just use a little bit of an update. Only inconvenient thing about the resort as a whole is the limited food choices. That said, everything we ate at the limited restaurants was fantastic!
Onto the not so good.
The room is beautiful at first glance, but many simple amenities were just not existent.
The only Toiletries were bars of soap, there is no phone, the Wi-Fi doesn't work - so we managed to log into our neighbor's, the hand for the shower is broken, and the water pressure and temperature is poor. The living room couch is terribly uncomfortable to sit in, and the TV in the room only has like 4 channels. The DVD player isn't even HD, and you cant connect it to the bedroom TV, so you're stuck in the uncomfortable living room furniture. The bed is firm, and surprisingly comfortable. The patio furniture is nice, but lounge chairs would be much better.
Overall, this place is in serious need of an update, and some basic amenities like a phone, Toiletries, and Wi-Fi would be nice.
If you decide on this resort, just pick a different room. Take your time finding a good room, and find something with multiple positive, consistent reviews. Don't settle for what's available (like I did!)
For our next stay in Rocky Point, we'll be trying a different resort. Things we'll be looking for, that this place didn't offer:
-Basic, modern technology and amenities in the room
-More local dining options
-Nicer Jacuzzis
-Better breakfast options
-Overall a newer, more updated space
