This property was spacious for the 7 people staying there. It is always helpful to have a room with twin beds because my family has quite a few single adults to accommodate. The kitchen was well supplied, my only negative is that the shelves on the door of the refrigerator could use some cleaning and half of the freezer was taken up by ice packs that I assume belonged to the owner. The condo was listed as newly renovated. I guess the description was referring to some new furniture and bedspreads. The beds were very comfortable. The paint and carpet could use a refresh, as well as some new bathroom towels.
The host, Angie, was very easy to work with and answered any questions I had. The rental price was a very good value for the accommodations.
The condo was within walking distance to Great Waters Marina, as well as a pool and a little beach area. The golf course was closed for maintenance, so we didn't see any golfers from our back porch, but it did allow part of our party to walk on the cart path without disturbing any golfers.
We ate lunch at the new Pickled Okra restaurant and it was very good. The fried okra was a hit, but the pickled okra was interesting! We also ate at the Lake Oconee Bistro. I suggest you avoid the pricier entrees and stick with the sandwiches and fried offerings. My chicken marsala was not great with the sauce already congealing when served, mashed potatoes were not hot and the squash was boiled with no flavor; not worth the $22 they had it priced at. However, the young adults at my table enjoyed their choices of fried shrimp, fish tacos and chicken wrap.
