We had a lovely week here, the house has everything we needed (2 adults & 2 teenagers) and the garden is beautiful, and incredibly peaceful. Laurence and Jacky were there to welcome us on arrival, and Laurence showed us around and recommended places to visit (we went to Mont St Michel and St Malo, both short drives) - we managed well with a combination of French and English :) we rented the sheets & towels etc but didn’t have cash so paid next day. With hot weather the pool was fantastic! Also managed pétanque & badminton in well-stocked garden. The house has a dvd player and we got some dvd bargains in nearby supermarket! The layout worked well for kids to have a room each upstairs and we had downstairs room. All beds are huge! We would certainly return. Thank you for hosting us!

Calme et le plein d activités en même temps

L'hebergement est très bien situé avec des lieux touristiques proches. Saint Malo, Cancale, Dinan, Dol... à 10 min en voiture et le Mont Saint Michel à 30 min. En meme temps c'est très calme et reposant et on peut profiter d'un immense espace exterieur. Bravo pourl'aménagement

Beautiful Holiday

This was an amazing place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this cottage. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, bedding was good quality. It took us a few days to get used to the pillows, as they are very different to pillows used in UK, but this is only a small matter. We were brave and used the swimming pool, despite the slightly cool weather. The gardens are huge but unfortunately we were not able to mae the most of all of the space as the weather didn't really favour sitting outside. We did however eat outside under the canopy every night. The cottage is extremely quiet and private. Laurence is a friendly and beautifully kind lady who was on hand if we needed her. Our only negative comment was that we would have appreciated a welcome pack. We arrived late afternoon during a storm, after travelling since 8:00am. We had thankfully stopped at the supermarket when we arrived in France as we were aware that Sunday opening hours can be sporadic in France. This was a saving grace as there were no provisions at all other than 1 toilet roll and 1 dishwasher tablet. In previous stays in France we have been left tea, coffee, bread and sometimes a bottle of wine or juice. It just felt a little disappointing that this had not been considered. This did not spoil our amazing holiday but though it worth mentioning so others are prepared in advance. quality. It took us a little

Great property, as listed. Huge garden. Lovely host. Would advise requesting the contract before booking as there are additional costs payable to be aware of; bedding, towels, post-stay cleaning etc.

une semaine en Bretagne

maison très calme , idéalement située près de toutes les principaux sites et attractions du coin....petit coin de paradis où il fait bon vivre avec de nombreuses activités sur place: piscine , terrain de pétanque, volley , badminton et transat pour les moins sportifs......propriétaire très sympathique , à proximité mais très discrets , qui font tout pour que l'on se sentent bien....que du bonheur.

A lovely stay in a lovely gite

We had a lovely two week stay at Laurence and Jacky’s property, the garden in particular is gorgeous and vast. The location is great and locations like St Malo, Dinard, Dinan, Cancale and Mont St Michel within a short driving distance. We would definitely recommend to others.

Rural stay

Lovely property and amazing garden. The property was well equipped and garden area particularly good for the children. Badminton boules swings loungers and small unheated pool. One bedroon and bathroom downstairs, with toilet directly off the kitchen area, a bit disconcerting. The other two bedrooms were slightly larger and accessed with a spiral staircase which proved a little difficult with a young child keen to explore. We found ways of blocking it off though. TV in every room but we didnt use these. No bath but good shower and well lit mirrors. Basic kitchen equipment but good enough for most meals we made. The only drawback I found was the cost of extras, sheets 20€ cleaning 80 € and welcome pack . Check out time was a bit early at 9.00am and the owner turned up on the dot to inspect. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Schöner Urlaub im Mai 2024

Wir (2 Personen) hatten einen sehr schönen 2 wöchigen Urlaub. Laurence und ihr Mann haben das Haus selber renoviert/restauriert. Es ist genau wie im Inserat beschrieben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es definitiv weiter empfehlen. Es igbt einen super tollen Garten, einen Park, ein Traum. Auch die überdachte Terrasse ist super, auch bei Regen (den hatten wir das ein oder andere Mal) kann man dennoch draußen sitzen (ich habe viel gelesen). Es gibt im Garten verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten und Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Der Pool ist toll, auch wenn wir ihn nicht genutzt haben (es war uns im Mai noch zu kalt ;-) ). Das Haus bietet genug Platz. Das Bad ist groß und hat eine tolle Dusche, 2 Waschbecken und es gibt top genug Ablagemöglichkeiten, das gibt es nicht oft :-) Die Gegend ist toll und es gibt jede Menge zu erkunden! Vielen Dank Laurence und Jackie für die tolle Zeit.

Urlaub in einem großen botanischen Garten

Wir wurden von Laurence sehr nett empfangen und konnten uns jederzeit bei Fragen an sie wenden. Unsere Ferienwoche hatte auch Anfang September hochsommerliche Temperaturen und deshalb genoss ich es im Freien, in der Hängematte, zu schlafen und am Morgen den Vögeln zu lauschen, auch ein Füchslein hörte man. Schöne Strände findet man bei Cancale und viele Ausflugsziele in alle Richtungen. Auf dem GR 34 kann man an der Küsten entlang wandern. Vielen Dank an Familie Gauplé

Brittany Roadtrip

An absolute gem of a find!! This Gite has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We explored the area visiting the local Zoo (Bourbanais) located in a Chateaux's grounds, exceptional. Also Cancale is beautiful and the Oysters, WOW - Dozen for less than £10 - what can you say. Also visited Rennes which is oldy worldy and well worth the visit, less than 1 hour drive. Limited number of restaurants in the area, but this is rural France after all. Dol de Bretagne, about 4 miles along the main road is lovely with some nice bistros. For some days we just lay in the gardens and soaked up the sun - lovely. Laurence was very informative and made us very welcome. Thank you

Idyllisch und entspannend

Wir hatten das Objekt anhand der Lage und der Fotos ausgesucht. Traumhaft der Garten (eher ein Park) und das Haus adrett und charaktervoll. Die Küchenausstattung könnte noch ein paar Utensilien vertragen. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Grand merveilleux jardin

Nous avons passé des bonnes vacances. Le grand jardin était parfait pour se reposer. Beaucoup de sites touristiques sont proches. C’était très gentil de nous donner les vélos. Seul chose à critiquer, c’est que la toilette n’est pas trop privée. Merci pour l’hospitalité.

Séjour au top !

Lieu de vacances idéal en famille ou entre ami(e)s. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable ! Localisation impeccable pour découvrir la région (15 min de St Malo, 20 de Dinard, 20 du Mont St Michel entre autres). Petite ville calme disposant de toutes les commodités nécessaires. Maison cosy, bien décorée et bien aménagée, avec un fabuleux jardin équipé +++ dans lequel nos fils se sont régalés (piscine, badminton, pétanque,...). Et pour finir, le plus (du plus, du plus), accueil de qualité par des propriétaires d'une gentillesse rare, qui aiment leur région et qui vous donneront pleins de supers adresses pour vous régaler 😊. Superbe lieu de vacances que nous recommandons les yeux fermés !!

Ein traumhaftes Örtchen zum Entspannen und Genießen

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, liebevoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Es hat uns sehr gefallen. Auch die erste Woche im Oktober konnten wir draußen auf der Terrasse sitzen. Jacky ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr geduldig mit unserem "schlechten Französisch" gewesen. Danke schön für alles.

Very niet place in a beautifull environment

It is a beautifull house, which includes everything that is needed for a family holiday. The swimmingpool was excellent for us and our small children, just as the house. Very large and beautifull garden. A week was just a bit short with everything the north of Bretagne has to offer: St Malo, beaches, mt. St. Michel, Dinand, Acquarium, and a lot more.
