Breathtaking sunrises and moon rises and unparalleled sea, beach, bay and island views. Beach is across the road about 300 feet away. Just a 5 minute drive to the town of Whitianga.
Fully furnished with all towels, linens, dishes etc.
2 main bedroom with queen beds, 1 large room with queen bed and 2 bunks. Plenty of room for a large family.
Game room with ping pong table. Washer/Dryer use included. Side deck with awesome views of the bay.

Awesome spot

Great house with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Close to the beach which was stunning and perfect for families. Hosts Bruce and Colleen were amazing. Thanks, definitely be back.

We spent a good week here. Friendly and helpful host. Good selection of things to do on wet days. There are even sharp kitchen knives !

Great Location

Great location to watch the sun rise over the sea and the light fade at night. Beach minutes away and brilliant to wash off outside once you come back to the house. Would recommend.

Great Coromandel location

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Wharekaho. Colleen & Bruce were great with communication and the property was perfect for what we required. The games room was very popular with our kids. The view and sunrises are amazing!

Fantastic property. Very happy with everything and was just as described. Fantastic place to based for a Summer holiday with access to a huge amount of beaches and things to do just a short distance away. Beach across the road is fantastic too. Will be back for sure =)

Great location

A traditional kiwi bach. Fantastic location with stunning views of the bay and the beach within easy walking distance. It was easy to communicate with Colleen. A very relaxing holiday.

Great spot in coromandel

Perfect traditional kiwi bach. Lovely views to wake up to and a nice safe beach just across the road (simpsons beach). Also great location as a base for exploring other areas of coromandel. Hosts were lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing location!

Couldn’t beat this location, the view from the main room is amazing and having the beach right there was spectacular. The house is on the older side and could do with a deep clean but overall had all the amenities we needed Thanks again

Relaxing setting

This is a great batch in a great location for beaches and getting to other parts of the Coromandel. Communication from the host was excellent. We'll be back.

Family holiday

Great beach house with an awesome view of the beach. Location to the beach is a short 5 min walk and the beach itself is perfect for young children to play in the water. Taking our own drinking water was not a problem. Town is only a 5 min drive and there are plenty of cafes to suit everyone.

Little gem of a bach

We have just had a lovely week at the bach at Wharekaho. The bach is exactly as stated, a stunning view with old-school charm. We enjoyed the both an amazing sunrise and late evenings star gazing on the swing seat. Colleen and Bruce were fantastic with communication and with local knowledge. Would recommend to anyone and would love to come back.

Family Summer Holiday

What an absolute beautiful quiet relaxing spot for a family holiday. We had the b3st time away. The games room out the back was perfect place for the kids to go play. They also loved the telescope. The bach was big enough for our big family plenty of space! Thanks so much Colleen. Lisa

Family Bach Holiday

The property is ideal for a short stay. Some maintenance around the house would help. As a group of 5 adults and 3 children the house worked okay. The glare from the rising sun over the sea was very intense so had to close the curtains.

Great location

The location is spectacular and the view from the living space and the terrace a big hit with our family. Unfortunately the Bach is in need of a major overhaul. The furniture is dated and dirty. The kitchenware a varied assortment. Some of the drawers had a jumble of items which a cleaner would easily have removed or stored elsewhere. Indeed I doubt that the property had actually been cleaned before we arrived. However, having bought some throws to cover the furniture and made the most of the kitchenware we were able to enjoy a wonderful family holiday.

Quintessential kiwi bach

We loved our stay in this area. The location of the Bach was great for all the adventures we did in the coromandel and the view was spectacular. Great access to the beach across the road. The road was busy so needed to be wary of that with kids. Bruce was a friendly and easy to contact host. It could do with a good spring clean. We had no toilet paper on arrival and there was a dirty pan in the oven. There was plenty of Crockery and pans to accommodate eating in. No dishwasher or wifi ( I overlooked that) but I would have booked it all the same had I known. Just good to know before you go.

Simpson's Beach is the Best

The Bach is in a perfect location, short walk down the drive, 50 metres to the walkway to the beach, then 20 meters to sand and the water. Lots of walking up and down the beach, lots of swimming, tree line offering shade in the mid day sun. The Bach itself was very spacious for our five adults and one grandchild holiday. The Bach was liveable, but could have benefitted from a deep clean in some areas. The activity room was well used including games of pool, table tennis and darts. As for the views from the deck at the front or the lounge......immaculate..... much time was spent in the swing seat on the deck or the lounge just gazing at the waters below. Internet access was a little challenging for us older folk, but that will improve once fibre comes to the region. Bruce was fast to reply to questions and provide assistance when asked. This Bach is a very definite possible future return...
