This property was truly perfect for our family this past weekend in Cocoa. I was there for the Space Coast Triathlon, so I had gear with me, along with my wife and five children. The photos did not do justice to how spacious the place is. If you have kids, lots of gear with you, or both (LIKE ME), then this place is a must.Entering through the back, there is a large laundry and play room, with tons of toys for the kids, and easily accessible laundry machines with soap packets provided. The kids spent a lot of time playing in that room.The kitchen is a real, fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel cookware. We had two other families to the place the night before the triathlon (both of the other husbands were competing in the race) and we made a massive pasta dinner for all six adults and a LOT of kids. The kitchen was spacious enough to handle all of it.The outdoor space is massive. There's a full table on the front porch with seating for 4, but you can add more chairs around that table. Then there's a covered area in the side yard with a fireplace and even more seating. With the benches, tables, extra chairs, etc., we had the entire crew under the roof. The kids loved hanging out by the fire after dinner too.Upstairs in the house is more of the same story. The master bedroom has an entire room off the front side with a big futon, TV, desk, and two sitting chairs. The other two bedrooms had sizable walk-in closets.I'm hitting the character limit. A

Very homey & welcoming house within walking distance of Cocoa Village. Kelsy was a gracious & consistent communicator. Lovely space outside to enjoy the evening breeze off the river or a morning cup of coffee. Quiet neighborhood with interesting houses & gardens.. While many short term rentals feel sparse & souless this Indian River Getaway felt like a welcoming home. Happy to stay again & recommend to visiting friends.

Wonderful Stay at This Old House!

We stayed here for two nights ahead of our cruise and had a wonderful time! The renovated heritage house is darling inside; the pictures didn’t do it justice. There was a coffee station for our morning coffee, and the house was well equipped with everything one might need. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and we all had a restful night’s sleep. There was only one shower, and the water temperature/pressure was the only thing that wasn’t perfect. It’s an old house, though, so that’s understandable. The neighborhood was a bit transitional with a mix of lovely and “needs repair,” but it felt very safe. The street along the river in the northerly direction was wonderful for walking. It was a short walk to the quaint old town of Cocoa, which we visited for dinner (Bar Americana) and coffee (Ossorio). Both places are recommended!Thank you, Kelsy, for your hospitality!

Overnight Stay

We stayed at the house for a night before our cruise. It was perfect. It was enough space for two families to get ready in the morning without stumbling over each other. The home is beautiful and homey feeling!!

Vacation and Wedding in Cocoa

We had a family get together and wedding in Cocoa which was a great time had by all. We stayed in the " Charming Indian River Getaway" which was a prefect location near downtown and easy access to other locations like Merritt Island and Cocoa Beach. "This Old House" as referred to by the owner was quaint and well maintained, accommodated six adults very well. We loved the outside covered patio for family time. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed taking our morning walks on Indian River Drive and looking at the beautiful homes. If any of us are in the Cocoa area we will definitely be staying there again.

Lovely, unique home. Nice appointed. Beautiful furniture and relaxing, comfortable bedding. Great outdoor areas, close to water. Fit 8 easily. So much space. Hello, I am a stay at home mom raising three beautiful girls. My family and I moved to Florida in 2015 from Montana. It was quite a culture shock at first, however we have not missed scraping windshields. When we moved here we found a home that we absolutely fell in love with. It was built in 1938, the era of homes we love!! It had an apartment built above what used to be a 2 car garage, now storage. We were not too familiar with vacation rentals at the time, but we had a close friend running one in a mountain town in Montana. My husband asked to start running a vacation rental and I was a little hesitant at first, but jumped in with both feet. I have always loved meeting new people, making new friends, and love to have people feel at home. With all that being said, our little business has taken off and I couldn't be more elated! Come stay with us and just settle right in. 3r

Step inside and feel the home's unique character, from the original 1938 Merritt Island Pine floors to the thoughtfully appointed rooms. The main living area invites you to unwind on one of two comfortable sofas. Prepare delicious meals in the kitchen, which features granite countertops and a classic farmhouse sink.

The home comfortably sleeps guests across three bedrooms: two private rooms each with a queen bed, and a third bedroom with two twin beds. One of the home's best features is the expansive, covered outdoor pavilion. Here you can grill your favorite meals, dine al fresco, or gather around the outdoor fireplace on a cool evening.

Bathroom Layout: The home has two full bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom features a charming vintage clawfoot tub (no shower), while the full walk-in shower is located in the downstairs bathroom off the laundry room.

Shared Pavilion: The wonderful outdoor pavilion, including the grill and fireplace, is a shared space with guests staying in a separate, detached apartment on the property.
