Enjoy country style living in the North shore of Oahu.
Located 5 minute walk from the beach. This place is perfect to work remotely. Near Surf spots. The area allows you to swim and snorkel year around in Waialua. In the evenings, enjoy a colorful sunset over the ocean.
- Detached Studio accommodation private entrance. You will have the studio to yourself. Newly renovated bathroom. Queen size bed and twin sofa bed. Kitchenette with hot plate microwave and large fridge. WiFi and smart TV and 2 beach chairs. The owners live on the main house, the washer and dryer are shared. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. This property may not be rented for less than 30 consecutive days. Rental prices will not be reduced or adjusted based on the number of days the rental is actually used or occupied

Home away from home in paradise!

My husband and I had an amazing time. Paula and family made us feel right at home. It was a perfect place to stay. Just a few blocks from beautiful beaches. We had complete privacy. Perfect place for a quiet getaway. Can't wait to visit again some day!

Incredible place to stay

This was one of the best rental experiences I've ever had. So close to town and great surf spots. Parking was easy and the neighborhood was so quiet and lovely. The hosts were incredible and so helpful and lovely to be around. Would recommend for anyone, the apartment was so cute and cozy! 10/10

Convenient neighborhood stay!

Paula’s place is a perfect location for walking or biking to several beaches, Farmers Market, Pickle ball courts, and Waialua town. The place is cozy and clean, a little small for 3 people, but great especially if you plan to be outdoors and enjoy all Hawaii has to offer! The hosts, Paula and CJ are very gracious and friendly and we’re quick to accommodate any requests!

North shore gem! Wonderful stay!

Clean, comfortable studio in a perfect location! We enjoyed ourselves for our 5 week stay. Paula was the perfect host, was available for any questions or recommendations. Beach towels and chairs were provided, and we were within walking distance to the beach. You couldn't ask for more here and I would recommend it highly. Neighborhood was peaceful and safe. Perfect Hawaii vacation!

Neighborhood Living

Very relaxing stay in a cozy, neighborhood studio. Easy walking to nice beach. Paula and her family are friendly and helpful. This studio is cute and well equipped - “beachy rustic,” is what I would call it. Close proximity to main house and neighbors, although this was not an issue for me.

Very nice stay!!

Paula and her husband were delightful hosts. The property is quite nice, especially if you are looking for an experience living close to a Hawaiian family. Due to my diet, I fixed most of my meals. Groceries were available locally. IMHO a rental car is a worthwhile to have. Traffic varies, so plan accordingly. Aloha!!

Conveniently Located Studio

Overall myself, my husband, and our daughter had a pretty good stay at this property. The rental is very very small, could see it being difficult to stay in for an entire month with more than one person. The owners do live on the property and seemed very nice when we met them. Although, they did have a house sitter during most of our stay. We did have a few minor inconveniences such as shower backing up (was fixed within a couple days), difficulty using the laundry as it was always occupied, and difficulty parking at the home. The property is conveniently located between local shops and restaurants as well as the beach. Aweoweo Beach Park is just down the street with a great beach and playground. The ocean in this area is very mellow, great for kids. Good place to stay if you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive option and are not planning on spending a lot of time at the property.

Perfect Stay!

My husband and I were in Oahu for the first time celebrating our Honeymoon. After talking to friends and coworkers, we had our hearts set on staying out of the city and being as close to the North Shore as possible. Paula's home was one of the first listings I saw and we instantly thought it was perfect. Its small, definitely not for a family of 4+. However, for me and my husband, it was very cozy and relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and inviting. Paula made the check-in process very simple, and we were even given a parking spot in the covered drive-way to use! The VRBO is equipped with wifi and air-conditioning, which was a life-saver for this California girl who is not used to the humidity. There is even a washer and dryer that Paula was kind enough to let us use. The kitchen is equipped with a full fridge and everything you need. While we were there, Paula had some house-sitters come in and they even brought us some pastries for breakfast one morning. Needless to say, my husband and I are already planning a trip back and would book Paula's home again in a heartbeat!

Perfect place for my experience on the north shore!

I needed to find a place to stay while I completed an internship on the North Shore. I found Paulas place and it seemed like a perfect fit for what I was looking for. Things that were important to me included walkability to both beaches and some stores / food (and my clinic even!), in a safe neighborhood, friendly host, great access to the bus system, and overall a place that I would feel comfortable. Paula and her family were great hosts, always willing to help out with anything I might need and even brining my fresh fruit as a surprise! There is nothing better than starting out your day with some delicious mangos so I was so appreciative of this gesture. The room its self is wonderful with plenty of storage for my self and my husband, a nice sized kitchenette, and a full fridge. I really appreciated that there was a window AC unit as well as it can be hard for me to thermoregulate and Hawaii weather takes some adjusting to for some people. Best sleep I've had in a while with a comfy bed and all the amenities we needed. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, Paula and her family, and my time on the north Shore. Highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a great and affordable stay without compromising privacy and a comfortable stay.

A little slice of paradise!

I am torn writing this review because on the one hand, this was an exceptional stay and you should book it without another thought. On the other hand, I don't want it to become so popular that I can't come back!!! :) I recommend Paola's place wholeheartedly! And I would absolutely stay here again! Clean, super friendly, helpful, thoughtful hosts, perfect little space to lay your head, and such a great price and location on the North Shore! This was our first time visiting Hawaii and it was magical to stay in a place that was quiet (it's in a residential neighborhood) where all the Hawaii birds sang us awake in the morning through the open windows. Felt like our own little slice of paradise! It was the perfect space for two people (just two people - it is a small studio - I would not try to bring any kids or anything like that). Had all the amenities we needed - kitchenette (stocked with dishes, little cooktop, microwave, fridge), nice size bathroom, little closet to hang things, sitting area, and a comfy bed. It was very cute inside and everything was squeaky clean - no roaches!! (I was so worried about getting a place with roaches - I hate them.) Our hosts even brought us mango from their mango trees and gave us a long list of local favorites (restaurants, etc.). They went above and beyond. Fantastic location on the north shore - it was close to tons of beaches, Haleiwa, Waimea Valley, etc. And we had our own parking space - included in the price! Just book it already!!

Excellent experience!

Our stay at this property was an excellent experience. From the ease & quickness of communication with the host and the cleanliness of the property, I would highly recommend this property. The host was always quick to respond to us when we had questions about check-in and check-out procedures with them. The property was easy to access and only a short drive from several beaches, restaurants, and shopping. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Nous avons dormi ici 6 nuits (26 août au 1 septembre 2023). Propriétaires sympathiques dans un environnement familial avec une petite famille. L'appartement est tout équipé (tout pour cuisiner, glacière, chaises et serviettes de plage). Il est dans un quartier résidentiel calme et sécuritaire, loin du trafic et à 2 min d'une plage tranquille. Bien situé pour visiter toute l'île d'Oahu (35 min de l'aéroport, 35 min de Pearl Harbor, 45 min de Waikiki). Le North Shore a été notre partie préférée de l'île. Surf shop, boutiques, restaurants, food truck, plages, tortues). Seul point négatif: le terrain autour de la maison est en terre rouge et cela fait beaucoup de poussière rouge à l'intérieur de l'appartement. Mais en général, à louer sans hésiter.

Paula gets 5 stars!

Ok this is a hard review to write. The owner Paula and family are delightful. We had several small problems to start, but they were addressed within 24 hours. Please be aware that this is a residential neighborhood, a car is an absolute must bc it is not within walking distance of much. Too small for 3 people, the bungalow is cute, but it is still a converted garage in a very unappealing setting. Pictures do not show the surroundings, which leave much to be desired. The hostess was delightful and that makes up for a lot, but not for the sad condition of the surroundings. Sorry Paula, I really wanted to leave a better review, but it is not fair to to the renters to give you 5 stars. We wish you well!

Cozy Studio

The studio had everything we needed during our stay for two weeks. It is in a quiet and safe location. The parking is a plus. Very close to downtown with good local restaurants and food trucks. The local beaches nearby are great. And also close to Sharks Cove, which is a great snorkeling site. Paula is very friendly. The husband gave us mangoes from their trees :) The beach chairs have been beneficial; we just left them in our car in case we need them. They had backup solar panels during the power outage and great internet wifi.

North Shore Cozy Guesthouse

Paula and C.J were very warm hosts. Guest house was the right size for one or two people. Very comfortable bed. It had everything you need. Loved location 15 minutes from Schofield. Beach is about a block away. Great restaurants 10 minutes away. Good grocery store nearby. Awesome mangos. It felt very safe. Covered free parking. Great WiFi and Cable.

Nice spot on the north shore.

I was travelling to Hawai'i for work mostly and did some tourism while there. This 1 bedroom studio was perfect for myself. I had a lot of space for the bed, the kitchen area and the bathroom with a nice shower head. There is 1 cover parking driveway available. All kitchen utensils are provided, 1 big refrigerator, 1 big flat TV screen with internet access, 2 spots hot plate. A big bed with nice sheets, a lot of pillows, and a nice comforter. The sofa can be convertible in bed. Washer and dryer are also available. Paula and her family are really nice hosts. They accommodated me and my family every time we had a request. Either provided us with a bar-b-q or toys for my son, or additional sheets for the bed. Or things to do on the island ( nice trails for hiking, nice beaches or restaurants to go to, ...) My family (3 persons total including me) came for a week vacation. The studio perfectly accommodated the 3 of us. It could become a little crowded if more than 3 live there. To finish, this is a nice spot on the north shore of O'ahu with less traffic and pretty good access to either the mountains or the beaches.
