Older cabin in the woods. Nothing fancy and hard beds but we made it work with a family of 6.

Great location with all the essentials

You can't beat the location! This place is 1 mile from the Upper Gauley put-in, 30 minutes from Fayetteville and 15 minutes from Gauley Fest. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was clean, had all the essentials like towels, linens, kitchen utensils and a hot tub. Love that it's pet friendly. We will be back for Gauley Fest next year, for sure!

Very pleasant

The property was clean and well maintained. Very much enjoyed the hot tub. Heating worked very well. The setting was pleasant and despite other cabins nearby it felt fairly secluded. We will certainly be willing to stay there again.

Amazing Weekend

I came to this property, but a different chalet last year. Both trips were amazing! I kind of wish the celing fan worked in this cabin, but LOVED the jacuzzi bathtub! My husband has already asked when we are going back

Stay was amazing as always. Comfortable, clean, and just overall outstanding. It was our third stay and we will definitely be back again. We were here for our Honey Moon, and our one year anniversary so we came to a conclusion its gonna be our yearly wedding anniversary tradition. We absolutely love it. Will always recommend.

Pauley Family Vacation 2025

Over all our stay was very nice. The cabin/chalet was quite homey. The only issue we had was the WiFi. Every night around 8:00, like clockwork, it went missing. Sometime around 5:00 AM or so, the following morning, it would reappear! LOL I would recommend staying to those interested, most definitely.

Convenient location, Quaint, but shower could use some TLC.

Very convenient location to the lake and surrounding trails. The lodging was just what we needed; a place to sleep and make breakfast. The bathroom, and particularly the shower, however, left a lot to be desired. You can see plumbers tape wrapping around the faucet, the switch between bathtub and shower was stuck, so the water pressure was poor, the hot water ran out within about 3 minutes, and there was clearly mold/mildew surrounding the edges. For the cost, I would search alternatives in the future if some of these issues were not addressed.

if the mattresses were replaced and the hot water improved[two of us could not take a warm shower within hours of each other.] this A frame cabin would be a great place to stay again. However, with back problems already this would not be a place my husband and I would want to try to sleep again.Perhaps a younger couple without these issues would rate it A . We inadvertently locked ourselves out and the owner could not have been nicer or more responsive. Also I have never stayed in a cabin that was as clean or smelled as fresh. There were plenty of towels and linens and they smelled great too. Cudos to their housekeeping service..
