この施設について

Florida River Valley farm living only 5 miles to downtown

Enjoy the best of both worlds! Tocayo farm, just 10 miles from the heart of Durango, lies in the Florida River Valley. The cottage, which has been completely renovated, was once the blacksmithing shop for the homesteaders who settled here over a hundred years ago. Tocayo is a working farm with both a sheep operation and a commercial vegetable/cut flower garden.

In the main bedroom there is a king size bed and ample closet space. The living area has a fold out futon which can accommodate two kids or one adult. The full bath has a shower tub combo. Enjoy the views from the private back patio with either your morning coffee or while grilling your favorite meal.

While the farm itself is secluded and quiet, the day to day of the sheep operation and market garden make for a bustling environment. The cottage shares a large parking area with the main house which is located nearby.

Possibilities to accommodate people traveling with horses, large trailers or hunters exist. Inquire with owners.

Knowing the history of the cottage added extra charm. The attention to detail inside and out created a lovely and relaxing retreat. The owners thought of everything! The friendly family, sheep, dogs, and lovely ladies in the vegetable/flower farm provided a fun, relaxing, and educational stay! The nearby DS Railroad and beautiful scenic drives also made this a great home base. We would love to return and stay longer-never enough time to appreciate God’s creations!

We will remember this beautiful, working family farm for a long time! The fully equiped cottage is a cozy authentic cabin near Durango. The hosts were very accomodating and invited us to walk about and enjoy the farm experience. We were treated to a show one clear evening, as family's awesome herd dog brought their sheep in for the night. We recommend this VRBO for anyone who would like to take a break from the busy life.
