We had high hopes for this vacation, but unfortunately, the property and management company (Prickett Properties) completely missed the mark.First, the listing was grossly misleading — it advertised five saltwater pools, when in reality there were only two chlorinated pools. The sleeper sofa, which was supposed to accommodate our group size, was missing entirely. We were forced to use a blow-up mattress, which took up valuable living space and was not what we paid for.Additional issues included:A broken grill that maintenance admitted had been out of order for years.A moldy ice machine that was unusable.A non-functioning sliding door that was difficult and unsafe to open.Access to the hot tub required a squatty potty to climb in — a clear health and safety violation. We reached out to Prickett Properties immediately, starting July 9th, and followed up multiple times via email and phone, providing detailed descriptions, photos, and videos. I even spoke to two representatives, most recently on July 20th, and they confirmed receipt of my emails. Despite this, we’ve been completely ignored. No resolution. No accountability. Just silence.VRBO — we expected better quality control on listed properties and better support when property managers fail to do their job. We did our part to communicate and resolve things amicably, but were ultimately left disappointed, inconvenienced, and feeling taken advantage of.
