Home Away from Home

What a great place to stay. It was like being at home. Everything you would need was provided which in our case included a snow shovel and bucket of sand because it snowed the evening of our arrival. Very clean property in quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again.

Racine Weekend

We had a great time on our long weekend in Racine. This property was perfect for our group of five people (4 adults and 1 teenager). It was a quick drive to the beach, downtown Racine, and even Milwaukee. I highly recommend.

Comfy & Clean Ranch Charmer

This home has a cozy and comfortable feel, yet there is still plenty of room for the family to spread out. It really has something for everybody, whether you want to catch a movie after a busy day, play air hockey, get your workout in on the weight machine, show your BBQ prowess on the outdoor grill, or just relax with a glass of wine. Our host Chris was wonderful ~ any time we had a question, he responded right away by picking up his phone or calling us back within a half hour. Next time we come to Racine for a visit, we hope to stay here again ~ our home away from home!

Great time

Great overall experience in renting this house. The property was exactly as described in the listing, and reflected all of the positive reviews given by previous guests. A few minor issues came up during our stay and Chris was quick to get things fixed for us. I'll emphasize these were minor issues like a broken patio umbrella which was quickly replaced. We traveled with grandparents and two 7 year old twins. We rented the house for 7 days and had plenty to do in the Racine and Kenosha areas. A very nice stay at a very nice house.

Early Christmas with family.

Property was great for Family of six. Had a rec room in the basement. Some weights if you needed to pump up. We used all the bedroom space for sleeping mostly. There is plenty to do in the area. Trails, Lake Michigan, Souveiner shops, the works. We were in and out before we could fully injoy the house. The owner left some treats for our stay. Thanks for the hospitality. This is on our places to stay return trips. Thanks for having a great house with all we could have asked.

Fantastic! Just as described, no surprises!

This house sits in a quiet low traffic neighborhood, good size driveway for parking your vehicle (I drive a big Ford truck monster) and I had no issues with parking. The inside was very clean and well kept, beds were comfortable and clean all very well organized with extra sheets and pillows and other items for families with small children. The common areas were very nice, Chris really stands out with all the little things that he accommodates you with. You almost need nothing, from the humble fork in the kitchen to hand lotion in the bath, this house is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, wash towels and extra towels to dry yourself with. Washer and dryer worked great, he even has detergents and softeners for your washing needs. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need for prepping, cooking and cleaning after your meals. There was water and a kringle in the fridge (very delish btw) a nice bottle of wine and assorted chips on the counter top. Coffee machine was clean and worked as expected. There's fresh coffee , sugar and cream. He's got everything you need! The best thing about my stay was knowing how easy it was to communicate with Chris, he is very responsive! Quick getaway

Really enjoyed the layout of the home. Kids loved the Air hockey table and board games that were there to use. The bed was comfy . I could have slept all day. The location was nice .

Home away from home.

Very cozy,quiet neighbor.Cook in or eat out.They had the house well set up.My family members that joined us there for dinner also felt comfortable and as if they were eating at my own home.Im form Memphis my mom lives in Kenosha my brother as well.I have a sister and brother in law in Milwaukee.This home made it possible for us all to join for a meal before I returned to Memphis.

Neat and Clean

The property is very clean and it has all the amenities one needs for a short stay. The owner kept a nice bottle of wine and snacks for us to enjoy. It has a small backyard with a swing for kids to play, while you grill. The property is ~ 10 minutes away from the Zoo and the beach, which was a huge hit for us. We went to the beach a couple of times, including early in the morning to see the sunrise, which was gorgeous. Chris is very responsive on emails / texts / phone. We enjoyed our stay.

Staying here was very comfortable. It was a "girls trip to nowhere" because we all stay less than an hour away from Racine. When we arrived we had our own driveway to park in, the living room was comfortable for us to watch movies, we ate breakfast at the dining room table, BBQ'd in the back yard and slept comfortably in our beds. It served it's purpose for our few days away. We didn't really use the basement, but the weights came in handy for the one that wanted to workout. Nice sized backyard and quiet neighborhood. Dog next door barks, but not a big deal. Cons: There were a few cleaning issues that we had (some face towels looked dingy, dust on dining room table and some bedding on pullout had some crumbs), but Chris was immediate with his response. He asked if we needed someone sent right over to exchange it, but we declined because we had our own. Scary moment: When we BBQ'd on the gas grill, we went to turn off the grill (aisles and gas knob)... the fire did not go out. We panicked because it would not go out and we called the Racine Fire Department (Dan Dan the Fire man was awesome...his crew too). Nothing to it, but he said the grill needed to be cleaned and had old build up. I think Chris thought we set his place on fire, but it was all good. His neighbors probably thought we were a mess. LOL All in all, downtown is very nice, the location was nice, the house is roomy enough for everyone to go into their own corners and relax. It's a good choice. I'd go again.

Great area, close to beach and stores

Chris was very good at communicating with us. He responded to our needs and got the job done. We loved that it was so close to the beach! We were able to make most of our meals there! There was plenty of room for the five of us. Beds were comfortable and shower was good pressure. There were alot of ammenities that were provided. I would stay there again. It was a quiet neighborhood.

Perfect Fit

There was something for everyone in my family. Relaxation for the adults and a game room for the kids. Very nice neighborhood and quiet. Loved the little extras, it made us feel very special. Would definitely stay here again

Nice home close to Lake Michigan

I did a girls weekend with my friend and our teenage daughter's. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. It was close to the lake and Racine Zoo. The beach was close also but it was too cold for that. We had fun playing air hockey and fooseball down on the basement. Chris was an exceptional host with a great sense of humor! Check in was super easy and the sign welcoming us in the kitchen was a very welcoming touch. The wine and the kringle were delicious. Check out was super easy also. I would definitely recommend if you are in the Racine area!

Fourth of July week in Racine

This was our first time visiting Racine and it was a great time. We enjoyed the house and the short commute to the beach. The house is very clean and well maintained. The backyard was great for the kids and for having a Fourth of July cook out. Will be back to visit again! Thank you Chris!

Rental home was very nice, exceeded expectations. Christopher was very helpful and responded very quickly to any questions. Highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.

I have been married to my wife Alane for over 35 years. We have 3 boys. My 2 oldest sons married Brazilian girls, Gilly and Juliana.

Arthur and Juliana live in the Baltimore area with our new little granddaughter, Victoria. She's so cute. Arthur is a computer programmer and Juliana is an employment specialist.

Alex and Giselle are in San Jose, California. Giselle is the first doctor of the family and teaches at the University of San Jose. Alex is our sales manager at our company in Phoenix.

Our youngest, Christopher (The Foof) is disabled and is the coolest kid. He's 29 years old. Our family travels to many great places. Foof goes with us to the Grand Cayman's several times a year and other places like Aruba, Hawaii, Indy Car Races, concerts, and more. He loves to visit with his brothers and hang out.

I travel to China several times a year for business and pleasure. I feel with all the travelling we do that we know what travelers want and like. So, we have gone the extra mile to make our properties fun and unique. We print the custom artwork found in our properties at my company in Phoenix. We have top notch beds, pillows and bedding for "the ultimate sleep experience." Gym equipment, fun activities like Foosball tables, putting greens, and more.

We would like your experience to be memorable because in the end you only have the great memories of your adventures. We want to be part of that.
