We had a wonderful stay. The location is magnificient, right on a sandy beach where you can swim comfortably, and that is wonderfully quiet and not overcrowded. The house itself is very clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed and the Wi-Fi is fast. This was already our second stay here, and once again, we enjoyed every moment. We can highly recommended the location.

Great location

We had a great time in Rifflet. The house is located at a wonderful beach with only few other visitors. The beach ist very good for swimming and the view from the terrace is wonderful and we enjoyed the sunsets from there. The house is simple but spacious and well equipped.

The perfect place to stay

We absolutely LOVED this place! Had everything we needed to create a memorable and beautiful holiday. All as described plus extra touches like snorkelling equipment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Beautiful view on pretty beach

Could not have been better. Nice people, big house with AC, big terrace, directly on the beach, beautiful sunsets. We will definitly stay here again next time in Gouadelope

Sun sea and waves

Lovely house on a beach on a quiet road away from the tourists...just a few footsteps away fom the sea.Everything you need is there and the house was super clean just waiting for us thoughts.

Paradise on Earth. The best vacation house ever

This is a very uniquely situated property directly on the beach with panoramic views in all directions. It is like having your own private beach as there is rarely anyone on it, Stunning views of the sunset every night. Comfortable and well equipped.

Perfect location; gracious hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved being steps from the water and were lulled at night by the sound of the surf. It was a quiet neighborhood within a quick drive from the village of Deshaies, where we could get what we needed. Our host and her son were responsive and helpful - and patient with my halting French. We definitely recommend a stay here and will come back if we can!

Great house in perfect location

The house is spacious with a huge well equipped kitchen and very nice outdoor area. It is located at a very nice beach which we almost had to ourselfs. You can also reach Grand Anse beach by foot. We were taken care of extremely well by Marie Line and her son. I would recommend this place to everyone! Thanks for a great stay

Holiday in paradise

We loved our stay at Gilberte’s , Marie Line’s and Yeli’s house on the beach . We spent a perfect holiday in paradise in glorious Guadeloupe. The house was clean and well presented in an outstanding location. We were greeted when we arrived by our wonderful host Marie Line . Her son Yeli was also charming and helpful. To sum it up , it was sublime and we have already booked to go back.

Magnificent

The house is directly on the beach, the view is stunning, the deck has comfortable chaires. This beach is never crowded and very quite. There is a sandy part perfect for children, and rocky part perfect for snorkling. The most famous beaches, Perl and Grand anse are on tbe right and on the left, 10 minutes and 20 minutes walking distance. The trail to Grande anse is so beatiful! House has everything for cooking if you decide to cook at home. I cannot imagine the better place!

Fantastic View & Peaceful Location.

The location is perfect, If you are a Death in Paradise fan, then this spot is closest to all the main filming locations. The house had AC in the bedrooms which made sleeping comfortable. The living area can be opened up on all sides to catch a breeze. We watched a turtle from the covered deck, that came up the beach to lay eggs right in front of us. The hosts were responsive to our communications. There is no cell service around the property but the WiFi is excellent. A car is definitely needed to stay here as grocery stores are about 10 to 15 minutes away.

Relaxing waterfront family vacation!

The other reviews were spot on. Superb location on a semi-private beach, snorkeling out front, often a cool breeze that helped with the mosquitos, felt safe/secure, and caretakers were friendly and available. Our 1 & 2 year old were well contained on the large fenced in patio, a high chair, two pack n plays (but one ended up sleeping under mosquito netting), and even a toddler wash bin for the shower. Hopefully future guests will be able to enjoy the inflatable toddler bedrails we left behind. There is even a kids' playground on way to Cherry's Pizza. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Ocean Front Escape

We loved this rental! The surf was right outside the windows and patio. It was 5-6 minutes drive to Pearl Beach or Deshaies. 5 minute walk on pathway south to Gadet Beach, a calmer cove for swimming and much less visited than the big beaches. The house is spacious and well stocked in the kitchen. Great outdoor seating. Each bedroom with ensuite bath and AC, mosquito netting. We would love to go back. The end of our week had stronger surf and I found it too loud for sleeping but my husband was fine. I simply slept in the middle bedroom. Great property for enjoying nprthwest Basse- Terre.

Un séjour absolument magique, les pieds dans l’eau !Nous avons passé 8 jours inoubliables à « L’Évasion au son des vagues » et notre seul regret est d'avoir dû en repartir. Si vous cherchez le paradis à Deshaies, ne cherchez plus : cette maison est une véritable perle.Les points forts de notre séjour : Un emplacement idyllique : La maison est située directement sur la plage. Pouvoir passer de la terrasse au sable chaud en seulement quelques pas est un luxe absolu. Une déconnexion totale : Fidèle à son nom, la maison vit au rythme de l'océan. S'endormir et se réveiller bercés par le doux murmure des vagues est une expérience apaisante et ressourçante. Le confort et le charme : L'hébergement est parfaitement aménagé, confortable et idéal pour savourer la douceur de la Guadeloupe. Les couchers de soleil depuis la terrasse sont tout simplement spectaculaires et resteront gravés dans nos mémoires.Un immense merci pour ce séjour parfait. Nous avons adoré chaque minute et nous reviendrons sans l'ombre d'un doute ! Une adresse que nous recommandons les yeux fermés. Merci à notre hôte Marie-Line et Yeli son fils. L’emplacement est unique avec un acces direct à la plage pr un escalier, la terrasse a vivre extérieure est clairement un plus.les équipements essentiels sont présents ( lave linge, lave vaisselle, cafetière filtre, bouilloire, four et micro-onde, frigo congélateur , internet par fibre, climatisations neuves et silencieuses dans les 3 chambres.Le logement était propre a notre arrivée, avec linge de maison fourni et de nombreuses serviettes.Nous avons été accueillis à l’arrivée par la propriétaire Marie-Lyne qui est revenue avec son neveu lors du check-out.

Marie-Lin und Yeli sind sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Wir konnten bereits früher einziehen als im Inserat steht. Yeli kam sogar einmal vorbei und fragte ob alles in Ordnung sei und wenn etwas war konnten wir ihnen schreiben und es kam schnell eine Antwort.Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft, der Strand hatte während unseren 3 Woche etwa 2-3 mal etwas mehr Wellen sonst war es immer ruhig und perfekt zum Baden. Auch konnten man direkt an dem Strand super Schnorchel und viele Fische beobachten. Sonst sind die beiden Stränden Grande Anse und la Perle zu Fuss in etwa 15 Minuten erreichbar. Eine Pizzeria ist in etwa 4 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar mit sehr leckerem Essen und sonst ist an den beiden anderen Stränden auch immer etwas zu finden z.B. leckere Bokit's.

Un petit coin de paradis directement sur la plage ! La maison est grande, propre, bien équipée, Marie-Line et son fils Yeli très disponibles et arrangeants, Deshaies et ses petits bars et restos à 10 minutes... bref 10 sur 10 pour tout !Le seul problème a été a notre arrivée car le GPS ne nous a pas emmenés au bon endroit... mais grace a la gentillesse des gens du coin, nous avons trouvé et Yeli nous attendait !
