home away from home

This house was perfect for our needs. We loved the character of the old house and the location was just right. It was easy to find and easy to get to all the places we wanted to go. The house was clean, well stocked with everything needed. The view was terrific. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Bonavista in June

Thanks, guys! Everything was great and in line with what was advertised...plus the lovely local wine and chocolates left on the table for us were a nice touch. We'd surely recommend this house to others for a Bonavista, and surrounding area, stay.

Charming!

A beautiful property well situated close to the lighthouse. The view of the ocean is wonderful and the entire place feels so romantic. You can imagine living in its earlier days. The host was lovely. The house has everything needed plus more. Could have moved in!

Loved it

We can't say enough good things about our stay here. The view, the home, the location - what's not to like. Luke was terrific in communicating and answering our questions quickly. Don't hesitate to book this home - you will not be disappointed.

Lovely coastline house

As soon as you arrive you feel welcome. We got good instructions. The house is great…it has everything you need, it feels homecoming and we had a good time. Bonavista is also great…we did the trail to the cape (you need to hike), whale watching (breathtaking), we saw puffins, a fox, horses, etc We had very intense two days and we can highly recommend it!!!

Peaceful Puffin Paradise - The 3 Ps

The hosts are very welcoming and sweet. The house makes you feel like you are at home with its beautiful décor, very inspiring and typical of Nl. The view is wonderful reflecting perfectly the spirit of Bonavista at the edge of the Atlantic. And of course, the puffins! Those cute almost toy like birds that put on a permanent show which will remain in our memories as one of the most exciting moments of our trip. All you could ask for

This was a wonderful place to stay! It was exactly like the pictures with no surprises. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. It was a great location for experiencing many of the wonders of Newfoundland. Communication with the host was exactly what you would hope for; friendly, prompt and responsive. Highly recommend !

Travelling to Bonavista/Elliston? Stay here!

From the time we first communicated with Mark & Luke, they were informative and helpful with the booking and our visit to the area. The home is lovely and well outfitted with whatever you will need for a short to long term stay. We were able to enjoy the weather and view from the back deck - fantastic! They are extremely thoughtful as hosts and left a bottle of wine and chocolates. The house is well located for visiting both Elliston and Bonavista. Luke dropped by the house to answer any questions and provided local knowledge to help with dining and shopping experiences. The quilts on the beds were a favourite of mine, and were beautifully crafted by Mark. All in all, this is the place to stay if visiting the area.

Characterful Salt-box stay

My husband and I stayed a week in this cozy property. We appreciated the amenities and cooked most of our meals in this country kitchen with the big table in the center. Some mornings when it wasn't so fogged in, I would sit in the window seat, drink my coffee and look for whales. I liked having the quilts on the beds and the artwork on the walls. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolates was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.

Ronayne House

We truly enjoyed our week at Ronayne House! This is a lovely comfy, clean home with an attractive, nicely decorated interior. Beautiful views right out of the kitchen window, with plenty of walking/hiking trails within easy access. Luke and Mark go the extra mile to ensure the house is well stocked with everything a guest could possibly need, and more (thank you for the welcoming gift of chocolates and wine, and the locally made soaps and shampoo/conditioner- such a nice touch!). We would certainly recommend Ronayne House to anyone who wishes to visit the Bonavista area. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Paradise in Bonavista

From the moment we reserved this property, we had a good feeling about our upcoming stay. The hosts are excellent communicators, answering our request and questions about the rental quickly. The property was easy to find, and easy to access. The house is SUPER CLEAN throughout, and all of the appliances work without a hitch. We especially loved the kitchen: there are loads of glasses (including great wine glasses), cups, bowls, plates, and many oft-used and even obscure utensils, everything you could possibly need (we didn't do any baking, but there's a muffin tin and a cake pan! -- maybe next time). The house is well-appointed, with touches of local colour throughout (believe me, the photos on the website doesn't do it justice). The view from the kitchen is stunning, with the sea rising from the mist in the morning, and ending the day in a glorious sunset (on the sunny days, of course, of which we were lucky enough to experience a few). The rental is well situated, near some great restaurants (we especially liked The Boreal Diner and Two Whales) and numerous hiking trails. We highly recommend this property, and we look forward to returning in the not too distant future. Thank you, Luke and Mark, for manking our stay an enjoyable and memorable one. Lisa & Christophe

Beau séjour à Bonavista

You must stay here!

This is like your home away from home but nicer. It’s clean, bright and beautifully decorated with lots of special touches to make you feel welcome. It’s location is great too, within walking distance to restaurants and shops. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Great spot!

Bonavista at its best!

The house is beautifully restored and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The setting is peaceful and the view is spectacular. Luke is a fantastic host making it a joy to stay here!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was impressively clean, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. They even provided a high quality locally made soap and a sample of local chocolates. It's in a good location a short drive from the lighthouse and has a view of the ocean although it is not on the water's edge. The owners were also very responsive to our questions/requests.

Staycation in Bonavista

We have travelled the world and we would have to say this is one of the best accommodations we have had! The house was super clean, tastefully decorated, very well stocked for every possible need. It was really a home away from home. The host was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!
