Lakefront Studio Cabin

Very nice studio cabin. Very clean, nice layout, and beautiful view of the lake. Only minus was bad WiFi, but that was listed on the owners notes.

The property was great. Super clean, simple but super functional unit, and low chaos as it was on the quiet outside corner of Big Cove. The launch ramp and dock were so user friendly. Only ask: It would be great it the sofa pulled out into a twin bed. I give it a solid A- and look forward to getting a larger group of fishermen and a few cabins for the next trip. Tranquility

It is an adorable little basement studio. The owner Shellie is amazing and very responsive. The view is outstanding from both windows and the doors. I will definitely stay again as I have work in that area quite often.

Quick getaway

My wife and I needed a quick getaway from all the hate directed towards conservatives in our country. The cabin was just what we needed! Rustic, quiet and comfortable. There is nice amenities within walking distance and being on the water was nice!

Beautiful get away

My husband and I stayed at the cabin to attend a wedding. The cabin was perfect for just the two of us and had everything we needed. We enjoyed looking at the lake while enjoying our morning coffee and evening cocktails.

Quiet and relaxing, beautiful view

This cabin is well equipped, great use of space. Market across the street has a great deli! Communication with property managers was excellent. I hope to go back.

Anniversary Weekend

Our stay was very nice. We spent a lot of time at the boat launch and walked to the market. Picked up takeout from Tantardino's. Great weekend.

Worth the price if you have a watercraft

We liked the cabin but the location would bring us back when we are able to bring our boat or jetski. Recommend upgrading the linens for price paid.

Mountain Getaway Disappointment

The unit is quaint & cozy, in a great location & does have lots of potential. However, it is in dire need of a deep cleaning. Floors were dirty, pet hair on the ice in freezer, pet hair on the brown curtains & window sills. Windows were covered in dirt & the bathroom shower is in need of repair. It had a significant water leak, was not clean. The unit is not set up for people who plan to attend an important function. No iron, ironing board, or full length mirror to assist with dress clothing. Cliff the maintenance man was very friendly & is working on the shower issue.

Lake Almanor

The house was decorated every cute. The location was great right next to the lake. The floors and shower were very dirty. There was no screens on the windows so you couldn’t open to let the cool air in. You couldn’t adjust the ceiling fan over the bed and the fan blades were every dirty. The cooking pans were in really bad shape nonstick coating on the bottoms was all scratched up. There was no place to put your clothes. The front window didn’t lock. There was only one little ice tray to make ice. The outside table and barbecue were very dirty. It’s to bad because this place could be very nice if it was taken care of better.

We loved our stay in this newly remodeled lakefront cabin with a biking theme!

Dear Shelly, We were privileged to be the very first to stay at this newly listed VRBO / Homeaway cabin and it was the perfect location for celebrating our anniversary. Thank you for sharing your wonderful little cabin on the shore of Lake Almanor with us. We absolutely loved the way you had decorated this special place hidden away on the peninsula with quick access to the marina at Big Cove. My wife, who is a talented decorator herself, was extremely pleased, especially with the biking theme. It was awesome to have our own private boat slip right below the cabin and so close to golf as well. We didn’t even have time to get to the Waganupa Brewery down the road as we were so busy relaxing, but we will make plans next time we visit. Every morning I would walk across the street to Wally’s Peninsula Market and have their homemade biscuits and gravy and then to the coffee shop next door and order my freshly made latte and enjoy both on the sunny deck while my wife slept in. Such a bonus to have the variety of restaurants within walking distance. The fishermen were catching lots of fish, and all the other vacationers I spoke to were so appreciative of the quiet location on the water. We look forward to staying at our new hideaway in the future! Thanks again.
