We were a group of 10 older women on a graduate school reunion, and had a lovely long weekend catching up. The house is bright and spacious, with large rooms and a lot of character. A very relaxed bohemian vibe, comfortable furniture, colourful art, and a lovely deck on a warm evening. The location is excellent, on a very quiet street, walking distance to Acadia University and central Wolfville. We easily parked 3 cars, it could manage more.We made very good use of the well-equipped, well-laid out kitchen. We found the dining area a bit cramped for 10 people, but that added to the fun. The living room is well separated from the kitchen/diner, which provided space for quiet reading and conversation. Lots of closet space and storage in the bedrooms. Very good value for money.FYI to future guests, one bathroom is an ensuite, so that room should be for early risers. In addition, there’s one full bath and a powder room readily accessible to other guests. Only a few of our party were comfortable with staircase to the 3rd floor, which is steep (with a handrail) which is to be expected in a heritage house. The host is very considerate and a good communicator.
