Romantic Getaway!

Check in was simple! Pool was ice cold. There is no oven in the house. House was clean. Deck does have a few mushy places that need to be repaired. Overall wonderful stay!

Girls Trip

We really enjoyed the pool, which was cold and perfect for the summer heat. It was quiet and peaceful. We felt relaxed and comfortable. There is a couch in the living room even though the photos do not show it. The hang gliders were fun to watch as well.

The pictures made it look better than it was. The trees needed to be cut back and some repairs needed. It was not very clean and had roaches. Someone was walking around on the deck that leads inside to the house and the back room when we got back from town. She said she was checking the berries.

Nice vacation

Cabin/House was close enough, 25 min drive to Chattanooga to be convenient. Had a few problems, but they were addressed quickly by hosts. Nice rustic get away.

Best cabin and pool!!

We had a great great time!! Jamie was so quickly responsive with anything we asked. We loved the pool and the cabin. It was just an awesome stay! Can’t wait to go back!!

Such a relaxing place

Location is great. Really enjoyed the pool and watching the gliders. Perfect for couples as the bedrooms are separated and very private.

I do not recommend staying here. There are no blinds or curtains in the downstairs main living room/kitchen area, we found roaches in the silverware drawer, pool is slimy, banister dry rotted, some planks in deck are mushy, bedrooms are dark and have an eerie feeling, and much more. The vegetation is overgrown and the fire pit and picnic table are covered in moss and don't appear to ever have been used. We left 2 days early and have had no response from the host. My sister and I are primitive campers so we are not bougie, but we do expect safety, especially when there is a lot of traffic on the road directly next to this place. The door/window does not lock AT ALL. What was real creepy is we noticed when leaving a bench in the woods where you could sit and have a perfect view of the activity inside this house since there are no blinds or curtains to the downstairs windows. Creepy! I think the pics says it all. This would work for a frat party or a bunch of fisherman, but no one else. Pass on this!!

Quaint cabin felt secluded but close to Chattanooga

Loved this place and plan to return. Really enjoyed sitting on porch and watching the hang gliding. Very relaxing weekend!

Great Weekend Getaway

We had a great time. The property is rustic but felt like a beach bungalow. The pool was great but I would like to have dedicated stairs or a ladder to get out and in. Would definitely revommend if you need to unplug and relax.

fantastic cabin

This was our third stay at the watering hole. As usual, Jerry made check in easy, and the place is full of charm. Thanks, guys for accomodating us on the last day!

Wish the pool was ready.

The pool had a chemical reaction and we were unable to swim, however, Jerry made it right with us. He is very nice, talented, and we found him to be quiet pleasant.

A little noisy but nice

We were interested to see tha hang gliders takin off but the sound gets tiresome. It’s not like that at night, so it wasn’t a problem. It’s also cool to watch. The property is remote and lovely. We enjoyed our stay.

Great value

Property was hard to find and parking was limited. No wifi as advertised. 2nd bedroom and bath not connected to main house, could have been problematic with wanting to use second room with children.

Disappointed

The overall layout is awful. Then I hit my head twice coming down the stairs (I’m 6’ tall and the damn joist should not be in that position. It has some weird appeal to it, but when I hit my head for the second time I was over it. I actually left a day early due to the stay.

Simply Amazing!

Such a unique and and fun property. The home was clean and had all that we needed. Jerry, the host, was great and very accommodating. The main part of the house is all together and then the room that is described as a private entrance is actually like an apartment that is connected to the house but separate just like its own studio apartment. Great for couples to travel together and have separate sleeping areas or families with older kids. We didn't have cell service there (AT&T) and had to go outside or down the road to get signal, and there isn't internet or WIFI so be prepared that you will be off grid (We loved that) for your stay. The home is close to town with grocery stores, gas stations, fast food, etc. The pool is so cute and refreshing. It is a spring water feed pool so it was cool on a hot day. It is a little cloudier than a regular pool since it doesn't have the chemicals in it but we loved it. There are not stairs to get in and out of the pool but the way it is built you can easily get out in the shallower end or use the rocks on the side for a kind of step. Jerry was great and he has other properties around the area too. He builds his homes himself and you can see his style in each one. Also, don't forget to listen to some of his CD's when you visit!! They are great! We will be back for sure!
