Great apartment especially for a family
This is a spacious apartment with a very helpful, welcoming host. The apartment is so well equipped and furnished that it does feel like a home from home.
In the apartment there is a lovely family area with a large balcony and there are
two good sized bedrooms.
Thierry and Francoise gave us lots of information about Avignon including practical things like the bus, nearby supermarkets etc.
Our hosts also picked us up from the station and on the last day took us to the TGV station. We were sad to go.
The apartment is in a quiet area just 15 minutes by bus from the historic old city.
We mainly shopped in the old city. We caught a number 2 bus right outside the building to the train station most days and its at the gates of the old city.
We had a week in Avignon and used it as a base for trains to Arles and Nimes. Both are worth a full day visit. Avignon also has medieval sites and in July an arts festival, so a meal anywhere was likely to be serenaded or diverted by festival acts advertising their shows.
I would highly recommend the apartment, our host and Avignon.
