Nice weekend at the Fisherman’s Cabin!

It was clean, quiet, private and most of all, the kitchen is well equipped!

The cabin had everything we needed and more. Wish we could have stayed longer. It's been on my bucket list to stay there since the first time we visited the winery years ago. Loved it

Awesome place

Everything was as advertised. Kitchen is well stocked and the place was clean. The winery is very nice and it was fun talking with the owners and hearing the history of the place. We had a blast hanging around the campfire at night. Definitely would stay here again.

Great Cabin

What a great house and property. Located near Galena, Mississippi River and a various state parks/trails. The house was perfect, clean, had everything needed for family of 5. Had dinner and a tasting at the main winery bldg on property. Property management/owners were accessible the entire stay and were very helpful. Tons of property to explore, fishing/spending time on lake, s’mores over the fire pit at night, fall colors everywhere. Entire family really enjoyed the long weekend on this property.

Just the getaway we needed!

My mom and I wanted to have a girls wkd away. This cabin and its location exceeded our expectations! We loved having a fire every night we stayed, and the comfort and coziness was so relaxing...We will definitely come back again! Thank you for our stay!

Great cabin and property

Great secluded cabin on an amazing vineyard property. We’ve been coming here over the years and will definitely be back. Nothing better than enjoying wine by the cabin lake! Kyle is great and makes sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Slice of paradise

Private, secluded setting. Sand, swimming, fishing , fire pit on the sand beach. If you are looking for a place to just check out of the crazy rat race of life then this is your place!

Relaxing Getaway

This place is spectacular! Such a relaxing atmosphere. Morning coffee on the deck, evening beers by the fire pit next to the pond. Feels like your deep in the mountains.

Summer get away

Traveled with family and neighbors. The property was beautiful and peaceful! The pond was lovely and we enjoyed fishing, swimming, and kayaking. The kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable, and the overall layout of the home was great. A close drive to Galena which was also enjoyable.

Very quiet and relaxing

Great spot for a quiet getaway with family! Beautiful views and beautiful cabin. Only complaint is that the coffeemaker is way overdue to be replaced. Took over an hour to brew coffee every morning.

Weekend Getaway

Perfect place if you want to get away from it all with little to no cell service and just enjoy those around you! My friends and I decided to stay here celebrating my wife's 30th birthday and we could not have been happier. The private pond is great for fishing and relaxing. The steep slope driveway makes you feel like you're transporting to another place in time! My friends and I have already considered planning another trip here next year with additional day of stay.

Family Christmas get away!

Omg we had so much fun. The lake is fun for everyone. We fished, swam, took the canoe and paddle boat out several times. The cabin was well stocked. The kids loved the whirlpool bath. Having three bathrooms was wonderful. They do have wi-fi tv, even tho we were so busy we rarely used it. We really enjoyed the porch area. I’m sure we will be back. My daughter and I even snuck away to do a wine tasting!

Father’s day weekend

We had an absolute refreshing time at this cabin. Everything was as listed, but the extra touches were everything. The seclusion was the best part. There wasn’t anyone around the place was completely ours. We enjoyed swimming in the private lake, canoeing, fishing, grilling on the charcoal grill and making a trip into town. We are only sad we didn’t get to make a trip to the winery! Next time! We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, secluded spot

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. Note that the queen loft and basement bedrooms both lack doors (though the basement bedroom has the benefit of being downstairs and therefore a bit more private). The queen loft is right above the main congregating areas (kitchen/living room) and doesn’t have a door or wall, so if you’re staying with multiple couples, it’s something to be aware of. The driveway is QUITE steep, as noted in the listing - our friends with a van had issues getting back up - but the two of us with SUVs were fine. It’s a solid 30 minutes to any real grocery or convenience store, so pack accordingly! Great fishing in the lake as well.

Cozy Getaway!

We had a lovely weekend away at this cozy cabin in the valley. Kyle was a gracious host, ensuring smooth check in and check out. The house was stocked with everything we could have needed - plenty of towels, kitchen was stocked, and the beds and linens were all comfortable. The bunk room in the basement fit all 6 kids easily and the adults each had their own room. The house is about 20 minutes from Chestnut Mountain, making for a super fun and safe skiing/boarding weekend away overall! If heading there in the winter, do ensure you have a 4WD vehicle as the drive is very steep and can be slippery. With 4WD, was not a problem, and Kyle was sure to warn us of this before we booked.
