Not the best but still a good time

The property was clean had some things that needed fixing the shower in the bedroom didn't have any cold water pressure and the dryer didn't work properly several other things in the home needed attention but we still had a great time there not sure it's worth as much as we paid next year we will look around a bit more

John is the best host

By far John has been the best host. We travel a lot for business and he was more than happy to accommodate us. He went above and beyond. If we are ever back in the area I will be booking with John again.

Pure paradise

This place is pure paradise. The house comfortably accommodated my group of 10, and could have accommodated more as there were plenty of beds. I used to live in the area and I took my family for a quick trip to the beach before the school year starts. It was just as beautiful as I remember, and the house is conveniently located just a short drive from the beach. Destin and Pensacola are also close by, but we just stayed in Navarre as it had everything we needed.

Comfortable and Accommodating

Overall , our trip was amazing , but this place put the cherry on top ! Great location, super convenient amenities, hosts were really communicative. This home was very clean and spacious. Next time I plan a trip I hope this property is available because it was definitely a gem

Family Vacation

We found the property easily. The neighbors were friendly especially the lady across the street(Michelle) I think that’s her name. The beach was literally down the street . There were plenty of places to eat. The property was big enough for all of us. The one thing I didn’t like was the patio area was left dirty and no extra linens. Other than that it was a great stay. Yes I will stay here again.

Adult slumber party

This house is in the perfect location! Navarre beach is just a short 5 minute drive away. The house was very clean and it is big enough to accommodate 16 people with 2 people sleeping in each of the queen beds and in the king bed. There is a nice backyard that the kids in the group enjoyed on this quick last minutr before school starts trip to the beach. The house and the host were great! Definitely worth a return trip.

Perfect and Immaculate!

This place was perfect for me and my family. The house was very clean, spacious with plenty of beds, and conveniently located literally a 5 minute drive from the beach. I highly recommend this gem.

My rental experience

The stay was ok, the grass needed cutting, when it rained the driveway where we parked the cars was a river!! While we was cooking the electricity in the house kept going off!! The dishes was dirty! And we had a house full of FROG!!! We kept trying to get rid of them..we had very few clean towels. We had to buy towels and I wash all the towel that was there and left some of my own towel there too..it wasn't the best rental but we made it work..we all love the beaches we visited three different beaches in that area.. Just Right!

John's house was perfect for our beach trip. He was a very kind and accommodating host. He provided plenty of information and recommendations as far as restaurants and things to do. And even provided us with dinner one night! The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood and is very clean. It was plenty large enough for a family of six and also close to the beach which was a huge plus. We hope to be back next year and will definitely stay here again!

Only complaint was the living room and kitchen area stayed warm and we had blinds closed

We had the blinds closed so it won’t shine in and make hotter… the later it got in the day it finally cooled down at night…. A little in comfortable sitting in the living room… the air down stair was very cooling upstairs was very cold

Beach is close by

This house worked great for our family of 7. We had plenty of room and the beaches were a short drive...less than 10 minutes away. Perfect location, not too far from Pensacola or Destin. John was great to work with. We would definitely go back!

Puppy Trip

I rented this property because of its ratings and being pet friendly. We were very comfortable in this home. The fenced in backyard was perfect for my new puppy. The host was super helpful and attentive.

Clean, comfy and peaceful

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is beautiful and most importantly very clean. I must admit I am a bit of a neat freak so I tend to spot little small things. I am happy to write that this location met my standards. My wife felt comfortable and enjoyed the peacefulness of the neighborhood as we were looking to just get away from our everyday activities. Overall when I am looking for another getaway this location will definitely be on my list!

Good

The master bed should be a king. We thought the upstairs was the master but found there was no bath up there, won't work for old people . Joe changed out the couch in living room for one with two recliners. This allowed us to get by with the queen bed.

Perfect for our needs

We had a great stay at John's place. The house offered enough room for the teenagers to have some privacy as well as enough room for us all to watch a movie together. Very close to everything we needed and the gorgeous beaches!

Nice getaway!

This home is convenient to the beaches of Fort Walton, Navarre and Pensacola. Destin is also just a short drive away. The 4 bedrooms was a big plus for us, and the fact that the home is dog friendly! The fence could use a little bit of work. The master bedroom, with a bathtoom is located downstairs. 2 bedrooms and the second bathroom are also conveniently downstairs. My husband and I took the upstairs bedroom since we had the dogs. It is a very nice size room. I wonder how hard it would be to add just a 1/2 bath up there though? Overall a wonderful place to stay!

My name is John. I grew up in a military all over the United States and Germany after which I did four years in the military myself. I work in the Information Technology field and I enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, relaxing at the beach, and gardening. I also spend a lot of my free time traveling, reading, and enjoying music (listening and playing). I was fortunate enough to be stationed at Hurlburt Field, FL in such a beautiful beach community where I bought this house in Navarre in 2005, two years after I separated from the military.

As soon as a saw this home I fell in love with it. I rented it at first beginning in 2003 and then bought it two years later. It has a large yard, it is only five minutes from the beach, and the neighborhood is peaceful. Living in this home I loved being able to walk outside and smell the beach in the air. I loved being able to go fishing whenever I felt like it. I loved being able to make a decision to go to the beach, and then be at the beach in the water 10 minutes later. I loved the peaceful and friendly neighborhood. In 2008 I moved out of this home because I got a new job that required me to move. For 10 years I rented it out on yearly leases and so whenever I came back to enjoy the beach or fishing I had to rent hotel rooms. Trying to keep fish fresh in a cooler in a hotel room was quite a challenge. I missed being able to stay in my house by the beach. One of the reasons I am now renting my home out short term, is so that I can still enjoy the things I love about this home from time to time. Come see why I never sold this home and likely never will. You will love it.

The most prominent benefit about my home is more than worth repeating. It is only 5 minutes from the beach. This stood out to me 15 years ago when I first saw it, and it stands out to me today. Ever since I bought this home, whenever I tell people about it I always say “ I have a house in Navarre that is five minutes from the beach”.
