The actual house is amazing. It's beautiful, clean, well stocked for cooking (which is rare with VRBOs!) and in a great location. We really enjoyed the house and would definitely think about staying here again, however we did have some issues with the management.
First off, check in is not until 4pm, which it says on the listing and is fine if a little late. We got into town at around 2:30 and they told us we could not check in early and we would need to wait until 4. Ok, fine. We arrived at the house at 4:30 after killing some time, and the cleaning company was still there and stayed until 6pm! So after driving 12 hours to get to Florida, we were stuck sitting outside (with our four kids) for over two hours after the already late check in time. Not a great start.
Then we couldn't find any towels or linens, which it turns out the cleaning crew had left on the front porch. We ate dinner and got ready to go to bed, only to find that the back door wouldn't lock. So I slept with in the room with my son, because it felt weird having the kids all the way across the house from us with no way to secure the house.
We did get someone out to fix the lock the next day, so that was good. Other than that there were some minor annoyances (the grill had no propane, which we didn't realize until we had hamburgers on there ready to go and it wouldn't light, so we had to go to the store and get it filled again - super annoying.)
Overall, I would say that it needs just a little bit of extra attention from the management to make sure that things are going smoothly and meeting expectations. I don't expect to show up to a house and have to sit outside waiting for the cleaning company to be done until dinner time. I do expect a house that advertises a grill to have propane to use and not an empty tank. But the actual house is beautiful, very comfortable, and has a gorgeous pool area.
