Tolle Wohnung mitten in der Altstadt

Lage und Umgebung hätten noch ein paar Sterne mehr verdient. Die Wohnung liegt mitten in Panier, der schönen Altstadt von Marseille. Wie in vielen südlichen Ländern heißt das natürlich auch, dass auch nachts noch Leute vor dem Fenster vorbei laufen und morgens die Kehrmaschine vorbei fährt. Von der Dachterrasse aus hat man einen tollen Blick aufs Meer und den Fährhafen. Es gibt allerdings keinen Schatten, so dass sie mittags im Sommer eher nicht benutzt werden kann. Dafür hat man abends eine tolle Abendstimmung mit Sonnenuntergang. Die Wohnung liegt im 4. Stock eines Altbaus mit engem und steilen Treppenhaus und in der Wohnung geht es zur Dachterrasse nochmal 2 schmale und steile Treppen hoch. Das steht so in der Beschreibung und uns hat das sehr gut gefallen, aber man sollte sich darauf einstellen, dass es anstrengend ist, das Gepäck hoch zu transportieren. Auch für Kleinkinder ist die Wohnung eher nicht geeignet. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, es war alles da was man braucht. Das Mini-Spülbecken in der Küche (es gibt dafür eine kleine Spülmaschine) und die fehlenden Waschbecken in den beiden separaten Toiletten (beide sehr eng) war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Insgesamt war es so wie wir es nach der Beschreibung erwartet hatten und es hat sehr gut zu unseren Bedürfnissen gepasst. Auch Marseille hat uns gut gefallen. Empfehlenswert ist das Museum zur Grotte Cosquet, in dem eine nachgebaute prähistorische Höhle besichtigt werden kann.

Breezy, beautiful view in the Panier

Le loft est encore mieux que la photo et la description, et Anthony est un hôte si gracieux. Mon groupe de cinq personnes (deux couples et un ami qui est resté quelques jours) s'est senti très à l'aise dans cet espace. La terrasse et sa vue imprenable sur la mer étaient magnifiques - nous avons regardé le coucher de soleil là-haut tous les soirs possibles. Il fait chaud à l'étage supérieur, mais les brises nocturnes nous ont permis de rester au frais, et nous avons préparé de bons repas dans la cuisine, petite mais bien équipée. Anthony nous a fourni un véritable guide de recommandations bien pensées, et nous avons profité de ses suggestions, en particulier pour les repas. Marseille nous a si bien traités, et ce loft était l'endroit idéal pour notre séjour. The loft is even better than pictured and described, and Anthony is such a gracious host. My party of five people (two couples, and a friend who stayed a few days) was very comfortable in the space. The terrace and it's soaring view of the sea was magnificent - we watched the sunset up there every night we could. It's hot on the upper floor, but the breezes at night kept things cool enough, and we cooked good meals in the small but well-equipped kitchen. Anthony provided us with a veritable guidebook of thoughtful recommendations, and we took advantage of his suggestions, especially for dining. Marseille treated us so well, and this loft was the loveliest home during our stay.

Super logement, vue exceptionnelle

Très bon accueil dans un endroit atypique et bien situé au coeur du Panier. La terrasse sur le toit avec vue sur la Méditerranée et la cathédrale de la Major se méritent car les escaliers sont vraiment raides mais quel bonheur d'assister au coucher du soleil en sirotant un petit verre. Très belle expérience !

Très beau séjour

On a resté pendant une semaine et l’appartement était parfait. On est arrivé un peu tôt et le propriétaire a monté nos valises. L'appartement est vraiment beau et le terrace a une belle vue. La cuisine en particulière est bien équipé et on a bien profité de la machine Nespresso! Le quartier est sympa et il y a plein de magasins près de l'appartement. On espère de revenir si jamais on voyage à Marseille encore une fois!

In the heart of Panier district

The loft appartment is great and has a wonderful terrasse. Hosts were very responsive and welcoming at check in and out. The beds are comfortable, the linens clean and smell of lavendar, welcome fresh beverages at our arrival, the rental was well equiped with everything one might need. It however doesn't have AC and you need to leave windows open at night to get some air ... that's where it gets difficult as there is alot of nightime activity and groups of people who yell and scuffle at all hours of the night. Although the appartement itself and the building feels safe we did not appreciate marseille and never felt 100% safe. It's not the appartment or its location, it's just overall lack of feeling safe throughout Marseille

Great location and view

Great spot in le Panier near shops and restaurants. Roof deck terrace worth the climb but pack light. Communication with owner and local contact great and quick response to emails. Apartment could have cleaner though. Thanks for a very good stay.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay in Marseille. The place was very charming and the view from the terrace is unbeatable. The stairs are very steep leading to the apartment, so may be a little tough for someone who is older or not as mobile.

Absolument parfait

Séjour absolument parfait, nous avons été accueilli par Serge très sympathique qui nous a fait visiter l’appartement, de la literie était à dispo ainsi qu’une petite bouteille de rosé bien fraîche pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue. Nous avons profité de la terrasse avec ce magnifique point de vue et du quartier très riche en street art. Je recommande vivement !

L'appartement est idéalement situé, à côté d'innombrables restaurants dans la panier. Son atout principal est sa terrasse en rooftop qui permet d'apprécier la vue sur La Major, la mer et le coucher de soleil. Autrement, l'appartement reste très bien aménagé et agréable à vivre. Great location great views

The loft apartment is in le panier - oldest quarter in Marseille- easy to walk to the vieux port, the museums and cathedral. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. There are a lot of stairs to and inside the apartment so not suitable for young kids or the unfit! It is , however, worth it. The views from the roof terrace are amazing. We sat with a bottle of rosé and watched the sunset over the Mediterranean. It was beautiful. Small kitchen but adequate and everything you need two little toilets and a great shower. Serge is the owner’s contact and is helpful and friendly. Flexible times for arriving and leaving. I would recommend

View from terrace makes stairs worth it!

Character apartment in old quarter of Marseille. Travel light! Three flights of stairs from street to apartment and more stairs once you get inside. So hope your 70 year old mum is as fit as mine!! Kitchen is adequate but not a kitchen to really cook in as it has a small sink, limited counter space and a small microwave combo oven. Beds comfy and great shower. Overall a nice apartment and the roof terrace makes up for all the stairs! with a killer view of Marseille harbor and the cathedral. Serge the property contact is also so nice and helpful.

Excellent séjour à Marseille en famille

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Marseille en famille, personne n'avait envie de rentrer! L'appartement est idéalement situé au coeur du panier dans un quartier animé tout en étant au calme. Très proche de tous les lieux à visiter! Le toit terrasse offre une vue magnifique sur la ville. Nous tenons à remercier Anthony pour sa gentillesse, ses précieux conseils et surtout sa grande flexibilité quant à nos heures d'arrivée et de départ de l'appartement, nous l'avons fortement apprécié. Nous y retournerions sans hésitation!

Amazing View from the Terrace!

The loft is perfectly located near the Old Port, but away from the tourist locations. Restaurants, bakeries, small markets are steps away. You will experience the local culture from every window that overlooks the pedestrian alley and small street below. You must be able to climb stairs!! But it is worth it. Anthony is a gracious host and will take care of you....
