I'd like to keep this gem to myself, but that wouldn't be fair to the awesome owner. This is the cutest place, close to the city, but very private and quiet, sitting on 300 acres next to the owner's home. The decorating and design are extremely well done down to the smallest detail, and the bathroom and shower are beautiful. There is not a kitchen, but there is a small fridge and a microwave. There's no need to cook anyway, as there is a wonderful breakfast place 5" up the road. The Bunkhouse is small for a cabin, but much larger than a hotel room, and all the space is used very efficiently. Everything guests could possibly need is provided, and The Bunkhouse is generously stocked with water, wine, beer, and an assortment of high end snacks. The bed is very comfortable.
Finally, an interesting side note is that the owners are descendants of the original Mayo family (Mayo Clinic) and they have some interesting artifacts and stories from their ancestors to share.
This "bunkhouse" would be perfect for a romantic weekend getaway for 2.
