First of all we had no issues with this house, besides the smell of sulfur in the water (none of my family wanted to shower because of it), in which I wouldn't have even mentioned if the follow events didn't take place. The dishwasher was broken, which wasn't an issue, however it was advertised as an accommodation. in which I didn't plan to complaint about; until now. I was the 2021 USC VS Notre Dame weekend. I had planned this for some time, I was extremely excited for this event. I had family come in from Illinois. Pennsylvania, Texas, New York, and Kansas. Once we checked out everything was left as it was when we arrived. Then I received the following message about an hour after departure "’I'm doing a walk through and collecting towels and sheets for laundering, and see that one of the pillows off a queen bed is missing. The pillow is easily replaced but the pillowcase is part of a set of striped Fieldcrest sheets and now I’m short a pillowcase.
I hope guests here will treat my house like the home of a friend, and wouldn’t dream of taking something from the home of a friend where I was a guest. I’m not a hotel with a large corporation to absorb losses, I’m a person trying to make a few extra bucks to help pay expenses on my house.
Please be so good as to mail the pillowcase back to me so I won’t have mismatched sheets.". Really? Instead of asking if we moved a pillow, or relocated it, she assumed we stole it? The automatic assumption that we took her pillow literally blew my mine. FYI, we didn't take her pillow, it was in the adjacent room, and YES she found it. Completely unprofessional, and after the fact she tried to say that water didn't smell, and "our smell is better than hers". We had 8 people in there and only one of us actually took a shower due to the smell. I wasn't going to complain about any of it, until she decided to accuse me of taking her beloved pillow. What would have been a 5 start review, is now a 1 star. BEWARE OF MOVING PILLOWS and SEWER SMELLING WATER! (I hope she got it fixed by now)
