10 Stars! Amazing!

David’s home is in the center of town and is walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Check in was easy, the place was pristine and he set us up with everything you could want including wine, beer, snacks, fruit and breakfast items! This is the best VRBO we have ever stayed at!! Hands down! Beautiful apartment, great owner/communicator and great location.

Outstanding!

The Nest was amazing! We highly recommend this place. Not only was the location perfect, but the townhome itself was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The welcome basket was an added bonus! David is an amazing host and very responsive. We cannot wait to use his place again!

Exceptional property in a perfect location. The "welcome package" of wine, beer, soda, water, snacks, chocolates and other basic food items (coffee, cereal, milk, etc.) provided a first-class touch. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Perfection for Birthday/New Year getaway

If you are looking for a well-appointed, luxury stay in the heart of Highlands, this is your place. David was amazingly responsive, the two-bedroom condo was roomy but warm and welcoming, and the location was perfection. The bonus was getting to know the owner of the Highlands Tarven below. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

Another wonderful stay

We absolutely adore this property and its owner, David, and have stayed here so many times over the years that we’ve truly lost count. The location, the property itself, and its gracious and hospitable owner truly make this rental property the very best we’ve ever experienced on VRBO (or through other service). It’s become a very special place for our family and I know it will be the same for yours.

Highlands weekend

Second year staying with another friend couple from home. Wonderful location and couldn’t ask for better communication with host. Very accommodating. Can’t wait to stay again! Have already booked for next year.

Great Nest Weekend

Great property and you feel very appreciated between all of the snacks and beverages left for us. A truly easy experience and so close to everything in town highly recommend if staying in the Highlands!

The Best Place in Town

Wonderful Location

Well appointed and maintained residence. Hospitality and communication was outstanding. We prefer to stay in town when escaping the August heat of Florida and love being near Highlands shops, restaurants, bars.

Comfortable lodging in great location

My husband and I stayed in The Nest for a week and had a fine time. Don't be deterred by the entrance, which is on an alley through a brown door smack dab next to the door to the kitchen in the tavern under the unit. Once you are in, you will be pleased. It seems spacious, is surprisingly quiet, is clean, and well lit, including with good size windows in every room. The kitchen and bathrooms seem new. David King, the property manager, is incredibly helpful and responsive. The "welcoming" treats were amazing - wine, cheese, crackers, cookies and more. All in all a good stay in a lovely little town.

A Highlight in Highlands

You can't ask for better access to Main Street and all its amenities. And you can't ask for a more responsive host. We really enjoyed our stay. And we were greeted with a very nice bunch of welcome goodies!!

The property’s location cannot be beat. Walking distance to everywhere you would like to go in Highlands. The host went above and beyond stocking the property with snacks and drinks, which we greatly appreciated after a long drive to get there. I can’t say enough great things about the property. Does not get any better than this property in downtown Highlands!

We come to Highlands on a very frequent basis, but this time we wanted to be in downtown in the middle of everything. The NEST was perfect in every detail. Every aspect was covered in this unit from welcome snacks and beverages to soft music playing on the Bose speakers. It was perfect and better than anticipated. Even the Highland's Tavern folks downstairs went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Once we parked our cars we were able to walk to every restaurant and shop we wanted to visit during our stay. The Nest will definitely be on our list for future visits to Highlands!

Awesome place!

We thoroughly enjoyed The Nest! A very cool place in a perfect location, easy walk to everything in downtown Highlands including some hiking trails. The host was very responsive and included some nice touches with extra amenities waiting for us upon our arrival. We absolutely recommended The Nest!

Highlands Wedding

The Nest is a beautiful luxurious home in the heart of Highlands NC. It was our 1st trip to this charming mountain town to attend a family wedding. Mr. David sure knows how to to make you feel special. We were greeted with fresh flowers wine, and cheese, fresh fruit, coffee just to name a few items. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need including a coffee maker. The livingroom overlooks 4th Strret and Church with a view from the french doors and juilette balcony of the Old Edwards Inn. We had plenty of space in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfy and each has their own bathroom. The Nest is over a tavern that has music but it was not loud and it not bother us at all. This is a great home in a great location. You are within walking distance of many of the shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend "The Nest" if you are vising the area. Mr. David is a great host.

We could not have enjoyed our stay at “The Nest” more! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful display of snacks and wine- and gorgeous accommodations. Beth, the owner, was so responsive, gracious and helpful. We stayed a week and enjoyed cooking many meals in the home and also loved being walking distance to the incredible shops and restaurants. We stayed during Highlands busiest season and absolutely could not have appreciated the location of the home more. We only used our car to travel to hikes- otherwise we could walk everywhere. We travel to Highlands often and this was by far our favorite home in the heart of it all. Thank you, Beth, for making our experience truly special, We hope to come back many more times!

Nest 205 was nicely appointed and oh so convenient. We had a wonderful sister trip to Highlands and we loved our accommodations. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms with a wonderful open concept living and kitchen area. The view of Old Edwards Inn and quaint shops up the street was a real plus to wake up to. Royce Realty did an excellent job of welcoming us and everything was just as it should be! We’ll definitely stay here again!
