The amenities at the Lookout are perfect for young families with ample space to relax at the end of the dayThe TV was a bit difficult to manage and we had to get new batteries for one remote. It would also be nice to have just a couple of K-Cups for the first morning so you don’t have to leave the unit for some coffee. Otherwise a great place.

Great location-lovely private outdoor areas

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Flip flops and snow shoes is a very cozy home. There are 2 bedrooms with queen or king beds so great for 4 adults-the other bedroom is really a kids room with twin bunks and single beds -we didnt feel it was really a home for more than 4 adults. The kitchen is stocked with spices, oils, sugar etc as the owners are often at their home. It’s well cared for and the gardens and outdoor areas are truly lovely. Lots of character in the home, but, if I’m honest, a bit too much furniture/clutter in the living areas for young kids-we moved some stuff and given the weather on our Saturday we were indoors most of the day. TV didn’t work, that appears to be an issue for many-for us it meant no Ms Rachel etc in Netflix to occupy the kids if needed. We’d stay again and would hope the TV is updated soon lol.

The house had all of the things we needed to cook and plenty of towels and blankets. We used the outdoor space a lot! We love being able to walk to the pool and viewing areas of the lake. It locates at a very convenient spot where you can reach the meadow by exiting its back door and the pool is in 2 mins walk distance. The bedroom with a bunk bed blew away our minds. Great for our group of 8

We enjoyed the house for our two days stay of 8 friends coming together for online holiday shopping. The home was not very private the hot tub sits right on the road. I couldn’t find any direction on where to put our garbage or where the overflow parking was. I had to call the office twice for this information. The place was close to town and had everything we need for the weekend. Two of the beds had items in a made bed which made us think that the beds may have not been cleaned from previous visitors. Overall I would recommend this place to a large group.

Great outside living space

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental house was great! I was disappointed in the activities the Lookout at Chelan provided this summer vs last summer. The movie screenings and flash light tag were huge hits. I hope the activity list doesn't continue to dwindle as that is one of the main reasons we love the Lookout. We were also disappointed in the Advertised Taco and Tunes night at Endless Orchards. The staff was extremely unfriendly to families especially kids. For example, the scolded children that were playing the lawn games even though they were playing them correctly and respectfully. We still had a great time during our stay overall but just noticed a decline in customer experience that we hope doesn't continue. This has no reflection on the house we stayed out but rather The Lookout management.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the home! It worked perfectly for us! We were all pretty active during the day at the pool or water park or lake and the only thing left to be desired was a cozy, large central area for us all to watch movies together versus separately until late at night (we had 8 people). There is a nice sitting area with a swivel tv to allow for watching in the sitting area/dining but I’m not sure the tv was working, the dvds helped. Also, the water filter in the fridge was not working and neither was the ice maker. These are minor items of feedback as we do hope to come stay there again as the other amenities were wonderful and the location in the community was incredible. The house felt homey and picturesque! You can tell a lot of love and thought went into making Flip Flops & Snowshoes a comfortable stay for guests.

It’s nice coming from the Portland area to not see a drug infested crime ridden town. It’s adorable and the Chelan Lookout Cottage community is equally as nice. The flip-flop and snowshoe house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen. No need to bring a thing. The beds are comfortable too and the porches are well positioned to the common area and a nice place to hang out in the evening. The house was reasonable but watch out and pay attention to the fees and taxes, which have nothing to do with the owner, but it brings the price up about 35-40%

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This neighborhood is absolutely the best way to visit Chelan. They have every amenity you could think of, and the best part is the private beach/marina with boat rentals. Our house was thoughtfully stocked and very cozy, with plenty of space to gather with friends and sleep comfortably. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Chelan!
