A Really Charming Place!

Our family really enjoyed Owl's Nest.....very charming and warm. Having both the upstairs living room and downstairs family room provided two great places to congregate. And an easy walk to the Village!

Owl Nest Cabin in Arrowhead

Wonderful cabin! Very well stocked and easy to access. Large home and great TV room. Close to Lake Arrowhead Village.

Perfect cabin for a family

We came to Lake Arrowhead to celebrate my husbands birthday and let the kids play in the snow. The cabin was perfect for our family and our friends. The kids loved the bunk beds and it was nice to have a separate family room with TV and lots of games downstairs.

Love the location

This cabin has lots of character. Everything was very clean and had all of the comforts of home. The view from the balcony is beautiful and the neighborhood was peaceful. The location to the village is great! The walk back is steep for us sixty-year-olds that are out of shape. But we made it!

Very nice cabin.

We stayed over President’s weekend. Cabin was nice and roomy with four bedrooms, one having bunk beds. House was clean and kitchen well stocked. Was amazed how close it was to the village. We walked to it on one of the days. Looking forward to coming back to see a concert at the village and would stay here again. Great communications with owner.

Great location

The location of the house is great. Walking distance to the village yet back enough to enjoy the quietness of the woods. We had 7 of us in the house and didnt feel cramped at all. Unfortunately we had a power outage for a lot of the trip but cant help that. We made the most of it. Russ, the owner was very responsive to all communication and made sure we were doing ok during the outage. This was our family's first trip to Lake Arrowhead and first time booking a VRBO.. would definitely be staying here again

Looooove the Owl’s Nest!!

We had an amazing long weekend at the Owl’s Nest! It was my daughter’s fourth birthday and she wanted to see the snow so we made it happen! The house was exactly as described. Three stories with all well accommodated. Amazing location with a view of the lake. Parking for two cars. The basement was the spot to hang out as we watched playoff football, utilized the foosball table, and played board games. We’re definitely coming back!

Perfect location, close to Arrowhead Village

This was the perfect house for our family as our niece was getting married at Skypark. It's within walking distance of Arrowhead Village and the resort. Russ was available by phone to answer questions when we had them. The only issue we had was with the upstairs shower...it could go from ice cold to extremely hot. Since we had 7 adults, it didn't impact us much. Would definitely stay at the Owl's Nest again!

Great time

We decided to leave town for the holiday weekend and luckily found Owl’s Nest. The pictures and description match the home. We definitely enjoyed our stay, including some competitive games of foosball. Thanks Russ for a great time!

Excellent getaway cabin/home. Reservation and check-in were a breeze. Russ was friendly and thorough in explaining major features of our cabin and was quick on replying via IM and answeringphone calls. We loved the adorable decor, cozy (but spotless) atmosphere, and of course the deck's view. The deck was perfect to enjoy your morning coffee while viewing the lake through beautiful pine trees. Within walking distance of the village/shops & a 10 minute drive from the visitors center & hiking trails, would definitely recommend!

Our family began coming up to the lake in 2006 to look for vacation property. Once we found and purchased this property, we spent many weekends at the lake, by ourselves and with friends. We enjoy the lake as a family, but as the kids are getting older, we've decided to share our home away from home with other families to create their own memories at the lake.

Lake Arrowhead is very close to our home, yet we always feel that we're far away on vacation when we're at the lake. We enjoyed coming to the lake with friends and extended family and have done so for years. The house has 3 levels, so there is room for small groups to have separate activities. The kids can enjoy watching movies or playing games downstairs, while the adults can enjoy ourselves on the deck or out on the patio.

この宿泊施設の特徴

When we bought the cabin 11 years ago, it was a true mountain cabin that had been partially converted as a live-above office by a previous owner. While we loved the location and roomy feel of the 3 story 'cabin', we felt it required a refresh to make it our home.

While we have updated some elements of the house with newer fixtures and appliances, we have tried to keep much of the original Mid-Century character of the home. The main floor bathroom still has the original 'Ming Green' fixtures from 1963, and most of the original tongue and groove woodwork has been intact. We furnished the rooms with teak items appropriate for the era, and some furniture that we built ourselves. Like all labors of love, our lake home in a work in progress. We still have more to do, and we invite and welcome ideas for future projects.

We truly hope our guests enjoy our 'restofied' mountain getaway as much as we do.
